Just the things I do to satisfy my creative urges and to maintain my mental well being. From making toys for my grandchildren to working on my truck, and a whole lot in between.
I finally can tell what you are saying because l found out l can read you on closed captioning. I 'll be watching you work Your wrists might be bad but your hands do beautiful work
There is one more improvement I'm going to try, then I will have to bite the bullet and buy some hose. Unless someone knows how to make that from scraps around the shop!
It would help your views if you include a description of what you are doing in the video title. Such as, "custom picture frame fabrication". Hope this helps.
Hey! I'm always asking folks what they did with the money their Momma gave them for singing lessons! Ah well I guess turn about is fair play. Either way there wasn't much spent. ;-)
@@Beverlys-Hillbilly I'm going to steal, er, I mean copy some of your ideas and build a recumbent trike. I'll post pics when done and we'll see who got the best use out of their "singing lesson" money!
your back!! Ive thought of you often over the years.. saying to myself.. "self" I wonder whatever happened to ol Ted.... I finally surmised that you musta been in prison.
Nah, we picked up stakes and moved to be closer to grandchildren, (and their mom and dad). Its taken a while to set up in a smaller shop, not to mention quite a few renovations on the house. But I finally decided it was time to post again. So here I is!
I wont knock on a guy on doing his thing . This gut did the best he can to the best of his knowledge . I can tell he is not a welder and the welds looks like being to cold and done with a stick welded . Stick welding is not bad or hard . The work needs to be really clean and the rod needs to be as small as possible . Then the welding needs to be DC and not AC . You can use AC but the welding may not be as clean . Then there the other problem and hard to do . Is welding pipe . That is harder than welding flat or square tubing . Just keep your work clean and use the right liens . You have to see the work in order to weld and knowing what a puddle looks like and knowing what molten flux looks like . Then remember that everything will follow heat . Practice practice practice and when you think you have it practice some more .
What I know about welding would fit nicely on the period at the end of this sentence. That said, the ugly snot welds are still holding these three years later. I would love nothing better than someone to teach me to weld properly. Thanks for your comment.
Recumbent's trikes are really nice when a person have back problems and other major problems . It's April now and still waiting on a Recumbent from the VA . There are no promises of getting one . I cant blame the VA for not getting one for me . I been riding my friends trike and gee I love it . I am 60 and when I am on it I feel like I am a kid . Grinning ear to ear like a hog chewing coal .
I didn't get a chance to ride at all last year, our street was torn up almost from frost to frost, but I am looking forward to this season! (I don't think I ever saw a hog chew charcoal, but I do think I got the picture!) ;-)
@@Beverlys-Hillbilly : I put in a short video on how it DIY a nice adjustable head rest . It looks like a factory add on head rest . To the Hog thing . When I was a small kid about 8 years old I used to feed all the animals . Goats Horses , Cows , Chickens , Ducks , Rabbets and Pigs . I would feed these pigs table scrap along with some feed . That was when the old farmer told me about hogs eating coal . Hell I was 8 . Some I went down the the coal hopper yard where they load the coal onto train cars . I got a bucket of coal . I went up the the pin and toss the coal out to them . Sure enough the hogs eat it . Ever last chunk of it . Old George McGill was right hogs do love eating coal and he is right about them grinning . But hell latter I learned that pig grin anyway when they eat . If your wanting a head rest that looks vary good just look for mine .
Love it. I'm getting up there in age and thinking of building one for myself. Figure I could use old bikes for the most part. Don't have a lot of eta money to burn so I want to avoid buying as much tubing as possible. I love how you did the chain guides, cheap and easy to replace should it get worn out.
Slightly off subject, an old nursery rhyme for staying safe in thunder storms: Avoid the ash, it courts the flash, avoid the oak, it draws the stroke, get under a thorn, it will keep you from harm.
It is nice to see the computer is still serving you well. You most likely do not have it connected to the internet. I like your finished project, my wife wishes I spent that kind of time making her stuff.
I was thinking of cutting some oak for a mantel on my outdoor fireplace on the patio. Thanks, that looks like a good and affordable way for me to get the job done and have something I could say I made myself. I got a 3' bar on the Stihl, that should get it done.
I'll just bet you do too! The saw is a new one, and I haven't changed the angle of the tooth yet, but it did a respectable job of ripping as opposed to cross cutting as it is.
that it did! I just noticed it was throwing fine sawdust rather than chips but I've seen your work and I'm sure you know exactly what to do with it :) enjoyed the vid!
