But in all seriousness, this is very reminiscent of a fan film. It’s a good story but that’s it. I’ll of course watch the rest but I’m not super excited.
A serial killer goes to Taylor Swift concert to kill everybody, and the singer 😬😬😳😳 Uh, oh, Josh Harnett giving Dexter Morgan vibes and vengeance took over him, and Michael myers' spirit possessed him to kill the worst side of humanity and criminals This ain't gone well at the concert In real life, the actor who played dexter morgan would hunt criminals and kill them Taylor Swift would ratted him out, and he would get duped & arrested for stalking celebs and singers and nfl players 😬😬😳😳 If i was a dad with my daughter in the future and she found out I'm channeling dexter morgan, i would tell her to run, and i would give up to the cops 😮😮😮
I liked both of the venom movies. They definitely seem to be leaning toward more comedy here. I’m fine with just this one trailer though I can go in just seeing that.
I stopped caring about STAR WARS a long time ago. I have had it with the WOKE identity politics. If I want to see Harrison Ford, I will watch RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK (1981) , TEMPLE OF DOOM (1984) , and THE LAST CRUSADE (1989) ✝. If I want to see Mark Hamill, I will watch CORVETTE SUMMER (1978) .
If the show is bad then I'll be honest about that in my review, but I always go into things wanting to like it. Serves no purpose to be pessimistic other than to keep me from enjoying something
You know, there was a time I would have felt that way. As a TRIDENTINE CATHOLIC ✝ , I have even looked at the Satanic Bible. It's essentially based on the "pleasure principle" and "look out for number one" principle. If you listen to Headland speak, all she is interested in doing is pushing her own agenda. Same thing it seems. As a TRIDENTINE CATHOLIC, I would rather watch the 1973 SATANIC RITE OF DRACULA. At least evil is showing its true face in that film. ✝ That's my take.
Great you two had a blast. I got the amc pass and I’m glad to have it. The theater by my house use to have a pass but they got rid of it and never brought it back. I’m not big on this franchise. I felt the run time on this one. Fury Road is the best out of the 4 I’ve seen. I never have seen the 1st one. Be interested to hear what you think of the old ones.
Grandpa did a good job as well as your son. I didn’t really grow up with Garfield. I never got into him so I doubt I’ll end up watching this at least in a theater anyway.
Well hopefully it's not getting used cheaply and this is genuinely good. So many sequels these days to popular classics. Michael Keaton looks like he's having fun so at least his performance should be worth the watch.
Wow high praise for this one. I definitely think visually, the lead actress, and the characters themselves are fun. Its heart is in the right place but, the story ehh it was ok. Not sure if it’ll hold the little ones attention but, maybe a little bit older.
I'm a big sap so a movie like this is probably gonna get me more than most lol. I'm also less and less comparing movies to each other when I review and focusing more on how I felt getting out. The last thing I want this gig to turn me into is a heavy critic. After all, I started doing this because I love movies and I want more people to as well. That being said, it's just my opinion 😅
I really strongly recommend watching the A24 documentary Amy. It gives more insight. It’s on max if you have it. I hope Marisa gets more roles in the future.
Yeah the paparazzi are so brutal honestly can’t say I have listened to a lot of her music but I am curious about this def glad to hear that this movie can help people reach out if they need help glad to hear you got more out of this movie great review man
My mom is looking forward to this. Never seen the broadway or anything about it until now. Hoping it’s descent but,the trailer did give away quite a bit.
I hope it’s good. My boys (men) and I weren’t too pleased with Hamilton. I didn’t see the play but I knew most of the songs. Some shows don’t too well when converted to another medium I guess. Ariana Grande look like a good choice for Galinda. (Her name was Galinda in the book)
I suggest watching the trailer again, singing is something you hear- not see. If you have ACTUALLY seen the Broadway version of the show, then you know exactly where the story goes. I do realize that this set, and the colors used make everything appear CGI or artificial. That couldn’t be further from the truth. The budget was 310 million dollars, and it was all invested into building a beautiful set. 9 million tulips were planted for ONE SCENE. They built the emerald city, from the gate to the wizards head. The entire university , from the river Glinda arrives on through the courtyards up into the rooms. They built all of this in empty fields in the UK. EVEN THE TRAIN IS REAL- I strongly suggest watching “Wicked- A Passion Project” it was released a day before the trailer. It isn’t even 5 minutes but it’s just off of the sets, it solidified the fact that these 2 films are going to be amazing.
I shall do that. The vocals are something I truly appreciate. I also played violin in a string orchestra for a few years. If you saw my original upload, I started singing the Star wars theme because that part of this trailer reminded me of the trailer music in Rise of the Skywalker, which is a movie I didn't enjoy by the way. Clearly the community has a passion for this movie.
You would think if the woman on this video saw the Broadway play of “Wicked”, (which she said she did) she’d understand that can’t you fit all the songs in the trailer. However, there are little snippets of songs. Also, I know she didn’t see the film but maybe she could have done a little research on it before posting this review. Thank you JoshuaColdwater, you gave very constructive and interesting criticism and insight into this upcoming movie. I had no idea about the tulips, or were they poppies like in The Wizard of Oz? I’ve seen the show Wicked five or six times and I’m really looking forward to the movie.
I'm looking forward to this as well. The story looks interesting, it looks beautiful, and has several actors I really enjoy. I think this will be great on the big screen.
That's a bit rude. Feedback is nice and helpful. When it's constructive criticism, and just not being outright hateful. Nobody enjoys seeing rude and hateful things. Would you want to see that? Especially something that you worked hard on? Think on that.
There's NOTHING bad about it. You're not being critical, you're just negative by default. If you were a kid you wouldn't give two shits about the directing and producing names in the credits. WHY is it so hard for people to enjoy things like they did watching Saturday morning cartoons?! You're the same person as you were then. Entertainment is TO ENTERTAIN!!!!!!
The Critical Drinker pretty much laid out everything wrong with season one. I don't watch a lot of his stuff because he genuinely makes a living off bashing and tearing things apart, typically without even giving it a chance. Rings of Power is a part of the Lord of the Rings universe using existing characters. Believe me that I try to go into everything wanting to like it and if you listen to my movie reviews then you'll know that I highly encourage people to go out and see movies. Lord of the Rings was a special time at the movies and I wanted to love the show. It has nothing to do with who's directing or producing. The Last of Us show changed some things but it did it well. I hope that season 2 of Rings of Power is awesome and that you'll get to pop back in and say I told you so.
@@bestfriendsthesequel It is clear that you know little about Tolkien, and haven't provided sufficient criticisms for the show to back up your condescending dislike. "The Critical Drinker" said so is not a reason, and if it was, then why do you have your own reaction channel? I personally hate this show, and that was a result of reading these books dozens of times and not being able to reconcile this pedestrian writing with the Materials i grew up to love. One thing I dislike more than this show is grifters hopping on the zeitgeist wagon to get views and likes.
@@aeldin131 I disagree with most of the Critical Drinker says. I only referenced his video because admittedly he does a better job at conveying those thoughts than I can. And you are right that I have not read the books. I also don't think that a show or movie should require you to, despite the books being masterpieces I'm sure
