I'm a simple man; I see Hololive, I click! I'm just out here livin' my best Hololife with a side of fries and PON. Tune in for reaction videos, watch-alongs, some attempts at creativity, and if you're lucky enough, my wife just might pop up!
La+ was, imho, definitely a highlight of the Shuffle Medley this year alongside the Okakoro moment and the absolutely phenomenal performance of 'Play Dice' by Kobo.
I think us old fans get what you're trying to say especially because we know how many members said that they were so close to quitting but A-chan was there not only to support and give advice but also made things happen on the back end. I guess what we can only do is be more vigilant to protect the holomembers' smiles since we lost a big safety net that is A-chan.
Personally i think she will still be around with cover just not as A-Chan with holopro. Yagoo will always have a place for her if she has sorted everything out in the future and wants to return. Best wishes to her and her family....
A-chan worked hard at Hololive Production for years, her work will never be underappreciated. We won't forget her. I am still optimistic about the future of HoloPro, but I can't deny that an amount of implicit trust is lost when a foundational member like her leaves. Before I stumbled upon her statement, I saw a tweet about an opening for a telent director for the English part of HoloPro. I can't find it any more, so I assume they found who they wanted. I hope they will be communicating with us directly, like Nodoka. I wish nothing but the best for A-chan and her family, I hope she knows how much everyone cares about her.
I'm working in the service industry, sometimes entangled in some projects involving entertainment, talent, and event. It hurts so much for me since I know, holo is no different except in appearance of those industries I mentioned above, A-chan being one of the foundation and pillar of Holo will really changing things in fundamental sense, even more than what happened as Coco. it's the essence of cover that hidden behind the scene but actually what makes them standing now.
She not only loved and supported the the girls of Hololive, she showed her love and support for the bois over at Holostars too and us as a community loved A-chan for that. She has been with HoloPro since its beginning and will be odd moving forward without her, but like what she said, she will continue to support everyone from the sidelines like all of us, as a fan.
Outside of what has been said already, lemme add why I think A chan's departure feels so different. She's been around since the very beginning, and at some point, she pretty much became the face of Hololive's main channel. Which, unlike with talents where we make a choice to watch them or not, is a channel a Hololive fan simply can't (totally) dismiss. So in that regard, just as the content on the main channel, A chan became a constant, an undeniable part of the image most fans have when they think of Hololive as a whole. And now we are losing that... To me, not on an emotional level, but objectively stings more than losing a talent.
A-chan wasn't just a staff member. She was the everyday face of management and most importantly one of the cornerstones of Hololive, working tirelessly to see the company grow over the years. If it wasn't for her support of her best friend's dream, Hololive wouldn't even be today, and none of us would be here, affected by the news of her retirement. She's set the bar very high, leaving her mark not only on Hololive but on the vtubing industry as a whole, but I'm sure Nodoka-chan will be up to the challenge and will fill the shoes. Just looking at how much likes and replies her tweet get, you can tell A-chan will be missed by a lot of people. I don't know what the future holds for Hololive and vtubing, but ngl I can't help feeling concerned about what's going to happen next (even if we all know that none of the talents is eternal)
First off, welcome back Sen. With that out of the way, it's unfortunate that she has to leave, but I agree with A-chan's decision. Family comes first. There's still a possibility that only the A-chan persona is stepping down. She is leaving Hololive Productions, but never specified that she left Cover as well. There's a non zero chance she is still somewhere in the company, just more hands off than she used to be due to irl obligations (taking care of her family in this case).
Let's be real : she's a 2nd in command in Holopro and honorary Gen 0 member. She's collecting experience from scratch when she helped Sora becoming a VTuber, and with that knowledge helping other talents to get where they're now. While I know Holopro as whole wil able to overcome this, but I still felt there's gonna be a void left by A-chan in Holopro due to her experience as staff, not to mention how she's being adored by fanbase as whole. Also, I didn't expect to hear about 2nd graduation in Holopro, let alone from A-chan. But, I guess that's life. IRL's issues sometimes can hit like a truck when we least expected it. Wish for the best and godspeed o7
I agree that at least from fan's point of view A-chan was one of the essential members of Hololive, which you can't really replace. At the same time I'm sure she left a long-lasted legacy behind, so everyone in the company can be a little bit like A-chan :) I've just rewatched her interview with Kiara 3 years ago and she mentioned that one of her dreams was to be remembered as #1 Hololive stuff even after she's gone. And I feel she totally achieved it! She is an incredibly insipring individual and I can only wish her the best no matter what life throws her way.
Ima wrote this again A-chan isn't talents. she is manager/stuff but she's like talents now. everyone love her. She has been working for 7 years since hololive start and she has been working hards since then. So this us just her going to rest after her hard working & take care of her family now o7 A-chan
I don't think you've check it yet but in case you haven't, I highly recommend chekcing out the newest Original Lore Song from Bettel! It is called "unlucky" and is his first.
Regarding this song Sen, it’s been confirmed by Nerissa that this song was inspired by a concept in Demonology of how demons are summoned by people by calling out their names 3x. It’s also a running gag in her community that we can summon her on Twitter if ever we use her name on a post, cuz she’s chronically online XD Personally my interpretation of Say my Name is that this is more so to establish her Persona possibly as a singer? Or maybe an expansion of her lore as thee demon of sound. I would say though as much as this is unexpected for most people, if you do know what kinds of songs she tends to gravitate towards based on her convos with chat (and maybe some forbidden knowledge), this isn’t surprising to say the least. She her love for retro music matches her love for classical music.
That was the vibe i was getting. A singing siren trying to convince the listening audience to summon her... thus a very cool easy to sing aling vibe song thats easy to stick in your mind
Did you say stacked or snack line up? Because as much as I don't mind eating squid, not so sure about rat and squirrel... and Moon-cakes is an actual human.
You really need to watch the Advent April Fools video. It was made by Ludocano. You know, the guy who made "Sticking Out Your Gyatt For Nerizzler" and all the Biboo Tax songs? Also, have you seen the memes about foreigners enjoying manipulated images? That's what the Fuwamoco section of the April Fools video was referencing.
