I have and esp32 i was uploading code on it when my pc suddenly turned off now it is not uploading code it says failed to connect and even in the web flasher it is not connecting but it is turning on. Can you please tell me how to fix it?
Hi Kian, I wonder whether you can explain me how I can update firmware under developer mode. Current firmware is 3.3.0, it was updated before setting Developer Mode. I know recently Sonoff has released firmware 3.4.0. However, update availability does not appear on the setting of the device. Thank you.
Hi there and how to correct display contrast? I have 10k potentiometer where should i co net it? One leg to V0 but what with two next? 😁 I can see letters from angle but no straight.
Cool so i Just have to connect ground to one leg. One more question :). When I adjust contrast and remove potentiometer it will remember contrast or reset to basic?
spent lots of time reviewing the manual and combing thru the Schlage website. There is no mention in the manual on how to switch from left to right hand rotation. Your video is great, thank you for posting.
Yes ok i receive this data and i see them in logs from my samnsung ir remote.. but how i can use these received data in logs to control something connected to home assistant?
@@kian.smarthome I wanted to bind some of ir remote keys to trigger some devices in home assistant.. So i used this code: binary_sensor: - platform: remote_receiver name: "PC Shutdown" samsung: data: 0xE0E040BF nbits: 32 - platform: remote_receiver name: "light" samsung: data: 0xE0E020DF nbits: 32 under remote_receiver: i put this code while for data i use the logs to capture the data signal code and put it back to the code above
@@kian.smarthome remote_receiver: pin: number: 32 inverted: True dump: samsung binary_sensor: - platform: remote_receiver name: "power on button" samsung: data: 0xE0E040BF nbits: 32 - platform: remote_receiver name: "source button" samsung: data: 0xE0E020DF nbits: 32 - platform: remote_receiver name: "volume + button " samsung: data: 0xE0E0A05F nbits: 32 here is the code.. i captured data of button presses in logs for each button you want to add you follow the same process..
@@kian.smarthome as project i wanted to press a button on ir remote contoller to control some devices binded to home assistant so if i want to turn on a light by using ir controller i can do it from now on
can you receive a signal from an ir controller button to activate a light switch for example with this setup? I didnt understand it well.. I need to use an old ir remote to control wifi devices through home assistant.
I need the device for steering the TV of grandma, she is not able to do it herself no more. Does it work, when I’m not in the network (WiFi)? What do I have to do?
about the first question tell me why isn't mentioned TV able to do it anymore? About the second question, when the broadlink is connected to the Internet you can control your devices using your phone when your phone is connected to the Internet but not nesseccary to the same network.
To set a temporary pin code, can I set it remotely via app(assume the lock is connected to home wifi), or do I have to physically be near the door lock and in the same wifi network
Hi Kian, I'm using Homey Pro to manage evices at Home. I've recently watched your video and purchased Sonoff NS Panel Pro to Install Homey app. I have set Developer Mode before reading all the coments on this video of people who want to unset Developer Mode whthour knowing that there is no way. I'm not going to install for now the Homey Pro app because I want to use the decive as it is first. There have updated since your video. My question is: Can I update my device and use it as if it were not set under Developer Mode? Thank you.
You can not disable developer mode once it is enabled. But even developer mode is enabled you can continue using this device. In another words there is no difference if developer mode is enabled or disabled. One thing to mention, if you need touch panel there are other brands too.
What can i do if the leared ir signal is not accepted by my device. I also tried the switchbot universal renote hub and it didn't work either. It's just a basic remote for a gas heater with on off up and down.
@kian.smarthome that's correct. It is leant then sends the same signal to the heater and nothing happens. I got a generic response from rinnai saying to refer to the user manual. I ended up solving this problem with 3 finger bots.
Juist _seeing_ that ATROCIOUS disaster of a wiring has me growing fur and claws!!!!! What you need to do RIGHT NOW is, call a certified electrician, own up to that unholy abomination you klutzed together and have him bring it up to code.
You don't have A hot wire, you have a hot MESS is what you have! And if you don't get it fixed, the "hot" in hot mess might quickly become EXTREMELY literally. As in FIERY hot. Then you'll have ALL hot wires. Seriously, twisting wires together like that should be the death penalty for first offence!!!
Nice video, I learned a lot, very interesting demo, but it should be noted that it is NOT suitable for practical use. Specifically, you made two critical mistakes: 1st, since input modules must by definition be exposed to user interaction, they should never be physically connected to any security-critical resource, in your case, the relay which opens the door. The correct way would be to attach the relay to a second ESP32 and physically separate the two devices, with only the input module exposed. And yes, you can definitely find a LOT of commercially-made "security devices" for sale online that make EXACTLY that mistake: Pry them off, find the wire for the door opener relay, connect it to positive power, open sesame, all your treasures are gone. 2nd, for exactly the same reason, NEVER EVER should any pin codes or other critical information be stored in an accessible input module. The right way to do it would be to send the text input to a central server and have it decide what to do in response. However, as far as you could tell, the code could be transmitted to the server unencrypted, so anyone with access to the wifi keys could eavesdrop. If you wanted to keep your pin codes secure, you would have to implement some sort of encryption scheme to transmit them securely. It should be noted that ESPHome is NOT a system designed to be used in a security context. If one wanted to use it in that way, additional measures to secure it would have to be implemented.
When I attempt to install the launcher, I get the following message: adb: failed to open ultra-small-launcher.apk: Operation not permitted. Any idea why??
