I bought this same one and will confirm mine was great as well. It was delivered yesterday, 9/6/24. Frets are nicely leveled, action was set well. The only knock on mine was scratchy frets. I polished them and she’s good to go now! Pickups are a little weak so I will be changing them out, but the stock ones are not terrible by any means.
I'm one of the lucky ones that got the chance to pick the Gibson DG-335 Pelham Blue up in 2007. I went to Guitar Center LA to pick the black version up since I didn't think the Pelham Blue color was worth the extra $1000. They didn't have it in stock and tried to order it from Gibson but it turned out that the black one was sold out. I decided to go for the Pelham Blue instead and the crazy generous people of Guitar Center sold it to me for the same price as the black so I got it for around $3500. At the time I didn't realize how lucky I was! It's still hanging on my wall and as a huge Foo Fighters fan I absolutely love it. The reason that I watched you video was to see if I should get an Epiphone to use as a daily driver but for now I'll stick with the Gibson. Thank you!

I think the Chinese are exposing this great American guitar myth, if it's not *a this* or *a that* then it's *useless* . I think the Chinese are going to put Gibson and Fender out of business of this catches on in the next 5 to 10 years, I mean really catches on where the Chinese steal 75% of the world guitar market share... Hey brutha! $3000 vs $300? And you get a sound like that? ITS OVER FOR THEM.. and you know it, once the Boomers die off..
The 2023 Korina Explorer Epi's are solid body.. not veneer.. I just bought a husk for $490.. Epi says exact same wood (That's why they cost $1300).. .. doing a build a soon..
Here in California, FedEx is much better than UPS. UPS dropped the box on the floor of the truck, right in front of me. Beautiful Epiphone 339 in Peplum Blue with a broken headstock.

Epiphone's pelham blue has always been the same. I have a 2011 Dot in pelham blue and the finish is exactly the same as the DG335 model (I've compared the two side by side). Now, this is not to say that their pelham blue is the same as the Gibson's pelham blue as I've never owned one nor ever seen one in person. I own the metalic gold version of Gibson DG335 (got it before the prices went through the roof). While the lacquer is obviously different from the Epiphone version, I can honestly say that they both sound amazing equally. Definitely not worth the price difference in today's market.

Definitely agree, the Explorer shape is so underrated. I have an Ibanez X Series bass with the same shape and my elbow just sits super comfortable on that wing.

those pickups are probably wilkinson humbuckers, pretty much the best aftermarket that wont break the bank for low end guitars because they're wax potted on a lot of models
