There is no doubt whatsoever that if the two previous Ghostbusters movies did not come out you wouldn’t have this kind of big event outside the fire house in New York there’s no way.
I'm in northern Alabama and yet new York is still so far and it's on my bucket list to go tohook and ladder 8 have a few pictures and touch the wall because who doesn't want to even people who haven't seen the movie
Barely worth torrenting, i'm a 80s baby so i'm aware of old school quality and not a zoomer complaining for the sake of it, i knew this movie sucked from the trailers the moment they turned ghostbusting into a family thing, wtf is the mum and teacher hunting ghosts with a proton pack like its a toy? infact why is the teacher in this PERIOD?? because he may or may not have been boning the mum? forced jokes eg "home home on the strange"? mr fire bender had forced jokes too, theres NO memorable moments like "yes this man has no d*cK", where is louis tully? why no looking up ghost lore on computers like gb1-2? where's the ghosthunting montage plus music? (gb2) why did someone die in this film? (not a family friendly movie) Slimer had no character development, giving a face to ghosts ruined this (female ghost) at least make her from a older time period (she felt like she was from a love drama) fire bending stops a proton blast? (omg it really IS a toy) same with new terminator films it forced in old lines in the film for artificial nostalgia. This is better then 2016 but thats it. To fix the movie first delete the teacher/mum, more screen time with the older crew, more scientists doing research (all they could afford was one british guy?) kids invent better gizmos etc
Fix this damn movie! Slimer and Venkman needed a scene. Slimer needed to eat the mini putts at Rays Occult. Trevor should have gone to Venkman for women advice. Callie and Denise should have had a talk about what it’s like to love a GB focusing on Denise’s heartbreak with losing Louis and Egon. Garraka should have escaped and regrouped in Central Park with his army of ghosts and those ghosts should have resembled ghosts from all the movies, the games, and the cartoons. When Garraka went to march with his army towards the firehouse, there should have been this awkward pause to let the jogger ghosts run past them and away from the fight. There should have been more time spent in the lab and that’s where Winston should have placed phoebe when she got benched. In the lab when Phoebe is introduced to Lars, we should have learned that Lars joined GB to work beside Egon but never got the chance. We should have also learned that Melody works in the lab with Lars and that she is there to help them developed different ways to help, catch, and defeat ghosts but then secretly she is there to spy for Garraka. We should have learned that they were collecting Pukie puke at the lab and that’s why they had him in that cell. Later, we learn that they mixed Pukie’s slime puke with a something that made it flammable and phoebe and Lars designed a special weapon that combined the slime blower and a flame thrower together in one to fight Garraka and the person that gets to use it in the big battle/fight scene is Podcast. We should have gotten scenes where Slimer communicates by nodding his head up and down to say yes and sticks his tongue out and blows to answer no. There should have been a post credit scene where the ghost busters introduce the jogger ghost to a treadmill within the firehouse and that’s where we see him in the next movie still running. The old ghostbusters and the new ghostbusters should have put brass on all their protonpacks to prepare for the Garraka/ Ghost Army battle and then we learn that Lars and Phoebe with the help of Melody designed a spectral particular reversal ghost bullet that can be used to destroy the worst of the worst ghosts but its only effective on the lower ranked class ghosts. At the finally of the battle all the new GB’s and the original GB’s surround Garraka and cross streams together on each side of him while the fire master and Podcast worked together bringing the heat. These and so many more scenes that were short and sweet would have made the movie completely EPIC!
Frozen Empire is a good and fun movie, just wish they would give the original GB more screen time in uniform and more time fighting with the proton packs along with the new GB's. In both movies they only get 10 minutes in uniform. ' Please do one more movie with the original guys and let them fight more in uniform. That would be great and the fans would love it. Also it will give us a trilogy with the original Ghostbusters along with the new GB's.
damn, I didn't know there was a Buffalo New York Ghostbusters. I would totally join. South Buffalo, Cazenovia Park neighborhood, Seneca Street. oh sh!t he even has a Buffalo Wing patch lol. we just call them chicken wings here, "can I get a double order of wings over here?"
I was 11 when I saw Ghostbusters in the theater in 1984 - 5 times. It's exciting to actually feel these new movies are dedicated to bringing and adding the franchise back to life.
I watch a lot of diecast toy car restorations, this was a familiar format to those. A total joy to watch from start to finish. great idea shown for the stickers. Priceless home video too! A terrific result Phil, she looks fab.
Imagine having a bad opinion that doesn't matter, and criticizing people who are more intelligent and creative than you. Also, imagine MISSPELLING your bad opinion.
Just found this after other Ghost Busters stuff, absolutely fantastic coverage of this event, I loved it. I viewed the original film at the cinema, (by de-fault in 1984). A year ago, I couldn't resist purchasing a Lego ECTO 1 to make, I've bought a lighting kit for it too!
Logan Kim and especially Mckenna Grace seem so sweet. Don't change! Ernie Hudson, my favorite Ghostbuster. I hope to be as in shape as him when I'm 79 yrs. old.
