They make single sheet adhesive beds you might like better. Much quicker so you don’t transfer lines onto the first layer. The same issue with glue. Transfers lines to the first layers.
Our eight Creality K1 Max's beds were "acceptable". The bed leveling compensated for -0.5 to +0.5 corners here and there. I watched this tutorial, bought the parts, 3D printed our own silicon bushing cutting jig (as a class assignment), and went from eight warped beds to eight PERFECTLY TRAMMED beds. The only thing we added to the bed leveling kit was a 6mm vinyl washer between the metal platform and the blue leveling knobs, since these were hitting some protruding screws. Me and my students thank you!
That is absolutely amazing. Thanks for the comment! You didn’t happen to video any of it did you? I’d consider including you guys in a video. Or if you didn’t, maybe have your students all vote on a cool video title and idea or maybe submit a few and I’ll pick one and produce a video. They would get to create the basic script, decide what I’m printing, provide stl files, and I can create the video. Of course I’ll give them onscreen credit for the video. Might be a cool project for y’all.
Well that’s great. 😃 But there’s a portion of people out there who don’t like the fact that the doors don’t open up all the way, like me lol. And why’d you stop at 9? Buy one more, make it an even 10 lmao. 🤣 Hey thanks for watching!
I guess I’ll answer that since you asked in such a cool way lol I actually used to be a tattoo artist long long ago and I tattooed a lion on my head because at that time I could grow hair and cover it. Little did I know that life would take a dramatic turn and decide not to give me hair anymore and now I am stuck with this beautiful monstrosity on my head lol. 😝
@@metalor696 hey I get a TON of compliments everywhere I go. Only downside is that I don’t like the attention. I’d suck at being famous. lol I get people taking pictures, and all kinds of things. lol. The notorious question…… is that a tattoo on your head? Inner me is like no it’s a fucking painting!!! The real me politely says yes it is. Lmao.
Keep up the good work, love to see functional print content. Curious about your use of tape on the bed. Also personally I am not a fan of that style of cable management because if you want to add or remove a cable, you have to thread it all the way through the holes. Sometimes if you are removing a cable, there isn't enough space to get the end back out. Take a look at the LTT-inspired magnetic ones (I think they are called MCM), or hooks that you can attach velcro cable management to.
Hey, thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate it and yeah, I plan on putting out more useful prints weekly. That’s the plan at least. As for these hooks, you don’t have to thread the wire through there. They are open on the front. You can simply pull out one wire at a time or however, you need to do it, but I am definitely interested in checking out the magnetic ones you speak of because I love Cable management
So I use the blue tape because I do not like using glue sticks. For one they are messy and leave your bed looking ugly and for two the blue tape works just as well to me, especially when it’s new. Now it does wear out and you will know that whenever your print does not stick very well. But all you need to do is replace the tape in you’re good to go. But it works very well for bed adhesion and it keeps your original plate looking brand new.
Thanks. I appreciate that! I will be posting more useful prints weekly at least that is the plan. Lol because I know everyone is tired of the slinky dragons and the flexi rexi’s lol As for the camera I use a Sony ZVE 10 and a Sony a 6000
@@stayreadyto3Dprint both, the video quality is easily what I'd expect out of one of the top youtubers in the genre. I've been working with a crappy creality first gen camera and can't get myself to post anything because my webcam and printer cam are so bad
@@12tsheaful apologies! I just saw this. One of the top RU-vidrs? Who might you be talking about? I’ll look at their footage. But hey, you can get great quality footage from some pretty shitty cameras. So don’t count yourself out. Idk what you have but, get an editing software and edit your footage. I never upload raw footage. No one does. Try CapCut. It’s what I use and it’s easy. Just gotta pay a small fee for pro features. If ya need help lemme know
thats so awesome Lawrence!!! thanx heaps for this vid!!! i always wondered wot they could do thats so functional.... cant wait to see ur upcoming ones too!!! love n hugs to u n urs xxx <3
I absolutely hate printing dumb stuff that’s useless. If I print it’s something useful or a better system. I’m going to start sharing new useful prints weekly I think.
I have added a 1/4” aluminum tooling plate to my K1 Max. Then after measuring the bed with the macro in Klipper and Mainsail (obviously my printer is rooted) I used printable shims on the three Z axis lead screws. I was able to get my bed too within 0.3 mm across the entire bed. However using the printed shims is a major PIA. So I just ordered the leveling knobs and associated parts from Amazon. For about $13.00 US, these look great. 👍 Thanks for sharing.
Yes. Please do! lol I started a separate channel for my review videos so that this channel can be dedicated to only 3d print related content. If you’d like to check it out it is called stay ready 2 review. I changed this channel to stay ready to 3d print. Subscribe. I’d appreciate it. Content coming soon over there. www.RU-vid.com/@stayready2review
Thanks! You could always go on Fiverr and get a designer to create it for you. I have a guy that is very good. And cheap. He’ll design it for you for around 20-$30 I think.
Stay Ready.... 3K subs now.... wtg Lawrence!!! soz i never saw this one earlier. a bloopers vid would b cool too but this introduction one tis gr8. wtg winner. love n hugs Lawrence from me n the furbabies Seraphina n Ollie xxx <3

Hi can I ask where did you get the actual lights from, I see the leads on amazon and also how did you connect all three together to run on one plug. I would order the kit from you but I am in the UK and you are in America, I would really like the mod.
