12 years and 346 comments. I will read them to find one or two where their Theta gdi has carbon and sludge buildup on the back of the intake valves. Since I now have a 2022 SmartStream 2.5L. Stated horsepower is around 195. But I think Hyundai is conservative on the actual output. The 2.5L growls for being just a non boosted inline four! Had the 2.0L Turbo. 100,000 miles and horrible egr/pcv system consuming 1.5 quarts of oil every 5,000 miles.

In Hyundais as recent as 2019 the ABS system can ignite fires that catch the brake fluid on fire followed by the fuel lines then BOOM, what car are going to put your unlimited mile warrantied lower end in?
