I never thought of the Reclaimer Saga elites as a subspecies, because Thel ‘Vadam looked like a Reclaimer Saga Elite in Halo 5 but not in every other media.

Considering the Wookiee are unshielded and unarmored they should be going down fairly easily in comparison to armored and shielded elites. If both were naked then sure the Wookiee should win.
See the funny thing it is a lot of people compare Wookies to brutes from the halo universe, and there is no comparison. The Jiralhanae Are quite a bit bigger and stronger than a Wookie. Wookies typically are roughly about 7 1/2 feet tall whereas some brutes can get up to 9 feet tall. It doesn’t help that Bruce are also quite a bit more massive in the muscle department… Even worse, yet, most brutes wear hardened, titanium, alloy armor, or even covenant hexagonal armor, Some even have energy shielding. Pair that with their frequent use of plasma, weapons and projectile weapons, as well as things like brute shots, spikers fuel rod guns and even stronger stuff like gravity hammers And you begin to see why the Wookies are outclassed. Do frequently make use of plasma technology in their own weaponry and to their credit it’s likely a fair bit more powerful than covenant tech, but that’s where the advantages end…. Wookies are just not as strong as physically they rarely ever wear the kind of armor that brutes wear, Roots are far more brutal when it comes to fighting, And their greater array of technology is just far superior to that of Wookies. If the brutes were to invade Kashyyyk, It wouldn’t take long for the brutes to win. On that note if the Wookies were to invade a planet like Doisack, the Wookiees Would absolutely get annihilated. Now, if the Wookies had support from the grand Army of the Republic and the Jedi versus say the banished or the covenant, Then it would be the brutes that wouldn’t stand a chance, but pitting the two races against one another is just not fair for the Wookies. Even against there Better sized lizard combatants, The elites, It’s actually made even worse because the elites are smart, Highly skilled Warriors, that would give even the Jedi run for their money, And their superior technology, as well as even more superior armor would make things exponentially worse. The only thing that the elites would have a disadvantage with would be Wookie rage, which would likely be triggered once they saw an elite because it would remind them of trandosians. Also, transitions were to fight elites, It too, wouldn’t even be remotely close. Individually a lot of the Apex races in the covenant could easily take on a lot of the races in the Star Wars universe that don’t rely on force sensitivity…. If a general one arc trooper or say a bad batch clone war to go up against a GEN two or GEN three Spartan, The Spartans would absolutely dominate. Now a Jedi, where to go against a Spartan, It would be far closer, but ultimately Spartan energy shielding is susceptibly weak to superheated plasma, and a light saber would immediately destroy that shield, then then immediately cut through the hard titanium alloy armor, and just immediately killed the Spartan.
LEGENDS Republic would beat the Covenant through numbers, the power level argument is stupid as Star Wars power is all over the place. Canon Republic would get blitz. Not only do The Covenant outnumber the Republic forces but their plasma is Lightsaber level strong or higher with an added EMP effect.
LOL I understand that Halo guys can be a bit bias but it's hard for other fanbases to take Halo seriously when people have to cut corners or make excuses for this series it's time to expand like start putting Halo factions against Destiny, Locus from Gears of wars maybe even Mass Effect but bottom line is I wanna see some good battles. Also I wanna see Flood actually try to infect other species.
