Great video! Just replaced the belt and cleaning & lubed the sticking pinch roller assembly on my Teac X-7 that someone gave it to me at an electronics recycling place. Works like new. Thanks!!!
What up Bigg Matt, I guess I am the only one up for the party !!! Love that Soul 2 Soul record. It was a great time for that sound and music. The folks across the pond had us partying hard.
Good job Matt. When doing this the first time I struggled a bit because there are at least two versions of the service manuals out there describing things differently. Glad I got a copy of the original TASCAM manual. Mandatory thing to do is to clean each and every switch before starting to calibrate anything. Especially the SIMUL-SYNC switches are notorious for giving contact problems. I love my 3340-S. Thanks Matt for showing how it is done properly!!!
😲 Kalibracja dla mnie to już historia, miałem kiedyś Revox PR99 i wymagał kalibracji, tylko w tamtych latach w Polsce to było nie możliwe fizycznie do wykonania. Pozdrawiam serdecznie Darek. 🤝👍 Super odcinek Matt. Miłego dnia 🍻😃
😲😲that’s the one I have hooked up to my system 😂😂😂 thanks for the tutorial Matt 🤙😎that’s one of the reasons Why I like Teac, very friendly for the owner to repair it.
BiggMatt, I like so much these types of videos, is always something to learn from you. TY for the your effort, your time and dedication. When you get a change visit Florida again so you can meet my lovely Frida!
Thank you, your videos have been really helpful in trouble shooting a Teac X-1000R, I was able to un-gunk and re-grease some pinch rollers and get them moving in the right direction.
X-10R is a 1/4 track unit, this X-2000M is a 1/2 track unit. The X-2000M gets the nod. If you were comparing the X-10R to an X-2000R, fidelity is the same.
Hey Big Matt I'm in Denver. Too bad I missed you. I have an X-2000R that runs hot. Really hot. It took out the transformer thermal fuse. I got another transformer. The reel motors get over 90 degrees f. I took the motors apart and cleaned them. They still get hot if played for over 4 hours. An X-10R motors don't get hot. I don't have a tentelometer. I know I need one. Hard to come by. Do these normally run hot like that? Should these not be played hours on end without a break? I hope you enjoyed your stay in Colorado. Hopefully you got to see Red Rocks or the Garden of the Gods while you were here. A concert at Red Rocks at night is something else.
