Grace Center for Spiritual Development provides a variety of exciting ways for you to engage with God’s Word and to be trained and equipped to be a spiritual leader in your sphere of influence. It is an extension of Grace School of Theology, created to offer non-degree opportunities of seminary-style Bible studies, devotionals, webinars, conferences, and more. The Grace Center programming is perfect for those interested in theological studies but not so much the theological degree.
Thank you Dr. Rae for this valuable and practical teaching. May we find Christ in the midst of our current trial. God is in the midst of it. May we see you Lord Jesus.
I appreciate learning more about how we all are responsible for processing peace and accountable for a purpose of unity; serving peace upon the earth for the Will of God and His ppl.. we must honor Him first first and forever
My opinion only, by my desired faith to learn without limits setting boundaries for the anti-, There shouldn't be any debate of any kind if we are true deciples or believers...amen No warfare should exist; it should be all joy, peace, and love without all undrstanding. Only a dedire to LOVE ONE ANOTHER! ENCOURAGE the LOVE
I find it interesting that the ground was not even wet! I remember the end of a joke of it being only a small body of water. The end was a child saying Wow! God was able to drown a whole army in the small water! ijs God always get the glory!
This is all really good stuff. I’ve learned under an OT Hebrew Biblical scholar in ancient Semitic languages for around 6 years before his passing. I highly recommend people to learn this stuff. It opens the Bible up completely and brings it to life so much! I’ve never read the Bible the same way since. It brings you so close to God and helps you understand the message he was getting across to humans in a better way.
1:13:50 I find it hard to believe James is not talking about judicial forensic righteousness like Paul given: the context of Jas 2.14-26 is bound by references to judgment (Jas 2.12-13 & 3.1), James quotes the same verse as Paul does Gen 15.6 with a forensic understanding, and in Jas 2.21 arguing Abraham was justified *by God* in his intent to offer Isaac as a sacrifice (Gen 22.16-18). James' use of Wisdom does not preclude his imperatives are given in light of future judgment (Jas 5.9,12).
Katherine, Wow I came how so encouraged and built up . Thank you so much. We Love your teaching and personality. Sometimes I wanna keep laughing in class but I know we gotta focus. Thank you again ..I am so grateful I get to be present for the teachings. So focused. So simple and so profound.
Deut 6.4-6, Mark 12.28-32, John 17.3, John 20.17, Rom 15.6, Rom 16.27, I Cor 8.6, II Cor 11.31, I Tim 2.5, Rev 3.2, Rev 3.12, and many other scriptures.
It never ceases to amaze me how so many men of God spend their time over their interpretation of HIs word and argue that they alone have the correct interpretation!
Correlation and causation are two different concepts. Simply observing police at every accident scene does not imply that they caused the accidents. Blaming the police for the accidents solely based on their presence would not be a correct conclusion. Applying a bit of exegesis to this scenario perhaps may help here. 😉
Unitarian heretics will deny the Trinity by doing eisegesis. You show them scriptures like John 1:1, Hebrews 1:8 that clearly say that Jesus is God and they will say that it doesn't mean what it says because they don't believe that Jesus is God.
James Rinkevich: sorry, you are incorrect. I think you have forgotten 2Timothy 3:16 ; “all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” (KJB)
Depends on one’s view of inspiration. I’ve heard different interpretations and some make pretty good sense other than the way the western mind would look at it. A lot of passages get taken out of context in the western Church. Learning to think the way an ancient Israelite would have thought about the scriptures is very helpful on how to understand God’s word as your interpreting it in its ancient culture context.
Love your excitement to finish this study, Sue! The sessions are ongoing weekly so anticipate them to be posted around this time until May 9th! Session 8 has just been posted.
