Jesus Loves and Died for you, you only have to believe in Him John 3:16.
Huge respect for the way they portrayed the break up and the stern sinking. And more respect for Brian McCardie for portraying Murdoch the way he did, based on stories I heard about the real Murdoch, I think he was very close to the real Murdoch. RESPECT
With how things are today, women wanting equal rights. It would be mayhem if a titanic situation happen today. Everyone would be out for themselves to get on a lifeboat. They wouldn’t be thinking about women and children first.
40 seconds in, and I CANNOT believe the first woman thought getting onto the Lifeboat and watching the ship sink was part of the trip 🤣😂😅💀💀💀 the people screaming and drowning were all paid actors
Terrible interview wish we could send some people back in time and have a proper interview with these people. Not just a few questions and answers, this needs to be extended, take us back, from the beginning, how did you get on board, how was it? what happened? how was your room? how was your food? how was everything? tell it all. Describe the whole thing from the moment you entered the ship till the moment it sank.
Honestly not surprised she didn’t know it sank. The movie shows all this light but in reality it was pitch black dark. Not even moonlight. And she probably got miles away before it completely sank.
*THE BIGGEST GUILT OF THIS TRAGEDY WAS THE CAPTAIN OF THE TITANIC. COMPLETELY IGNORED THE WARNINGS THAT THERE WERE ICEBERGS IN THE AREA. HE ORDERED THEM TO CONTINUE THE JOURNEY AT FULL STEAM. THEY DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO PREVENT THIS FROM ALL HAPPENING. EDWARD SMITH HAD MORE THAN ENOUGH AUTONOMY. THEREFORE, HE ASSUMED THE BLAME ARBITRARILY. SHOULD HAVE BEEN TRIAL AND CONVICTED FOR A SERIOUS INTENTIONAL CRIME. THESE WERE GIGANTIC LOSSES. MANY LIVES AND A SHIP THAT COST MILLIONS OF DOLLARS AND 5 YEARS TO CONSTRUCTION. 1907 TO 1912. ACCORDING TO UPDATED VALUES AT THE TIME, IT WOULD CURRENTLY BE VALUED AT 400 MILLION DOLLARS.*
Bro the titanics smoke stacks fell off 2 of water breaking the wires and falling on people and 2 falling of when it splits this version is fake the titanic snaps in half
I dont understand the first woman. She didn't understand anything was wrong until she got to NY but she saw the ship sink? Her thoughts were really disorganized. Maybe she was showing sogns of early onset dementia?
I wonder if the guy they were tying down in the rescue boats was trying to get more people saved in the boat and it would be too much weight so they did that. Or maybe it was just to much to witness.
This sure is good at showing how insanely snooty some of these people were. Funny how a disaster is the only way to remind god complexes that they aren't special or invincible in the eyes of fate and nature
Must emphasize that I love this channel and am subscribed. still... Robert Ballard has been a hero of mine since I was eight years old. He's even more of one after I saw this debacle. If I were him I'd be an alcoholic with three liver transplants by now if I saw people engaging in this idiocy, environmental risk and theft.
I love this channel, Full stop. And yet, wow... this expedition itself was an ethical joke. It's good to have it chronicled though. Seriously...a huge bag of diesel fuel drifting around in the ocean?? Then, "oh lets risk losing MORE diesel fuel on the GRAND BANKS habitats?" Not to mention the grave robbing. Again, not a complaint about the channel. I'm really glad idiocy, arrogance and hubris of the sort that killed thousands of Titanic passengers in the first place is available so we can see it in action.
An EXTREMELY well heeled traveler friend who had sailed almost always in First Class on the original Mauretania and Berengaria, Rex, Franconia, Champlain, America, Michelangelo and many, many other liners, told me that he felt out of place only once in First Class, and that was on the SS France of 1962
This was so sad on both ends. While one hates to lay "blame" on someone, it seems that most of the problem lay with the reading of the Radar. It had tragic results, but i dont think anyone was more shocked than Carstens was. I mean, think about it, we have all had times when we have thought we were down the road further or less than we actually were. The Lovely Andrea Doria had her own flaws, slightly tender ship, empty at the end of a voyage and gong too fast for the conditions with the false confidence in the radar. May they all rest in peace and may there be a spirt of forgiveness for all involved. The most positive aspect of this tragedy is that there were fatalities mainly in the line of the collision, along with a few poor souls injured during the rescue efforts, and that the herculean efforts put out by the rescue vessels stands out as a testiment to the sailors and seamen that manned them and saved all the lives that were saved.
The old man seems to stray from small details of the sounds he heard and the in between because it haunts him too much. Truly terrifying what he must have seen and heard as he went down with the ship. ❤️
