Does this works with all the solenoid of the market ? I try to make a midi accordion controller by microcontroller and the valves will be operated thanks to solenids but now I just experiment some 0 / 1 positions and not smotth linear positionning

tip: your magnets are way too weak and your amps are too low! Increase your AWG to 22 gauge and buy a 40mm x 30mm disc magnet on Amazon and then get back to me with your results! How do I know? I've already done this many times over! What do I do about the heat issue? Buy a 0.2mm x 20mm x 1000mm roll of Copper foil roll and add it around each couple layers of your windings leaving about an inch at the end to fold over. Get a tall but small heatsink preferably with a 20mm fan attached to dissipate the heat at one end. Let me know what you think!

If you're still looking for an answer I would guess he used pla or pla+, both are pretty common 3D printing filaments.

Hi, cool stuff! Any chance on getting in touch with me to discuss further applications for this? Thanks

You can add a 200hz dither frequency and control the DC offset which will remove the stiction
