I basically post whatever I feel like to this channel. I recently started a let's play for Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection, and I may do other games in the future.
My husband also has a channel, and he's hilarious, so I definitely recommend you check him out as well. His channel is called Birdie Spews. @jonathannell3377
I don't tolerate meanness, harassment, or spam in my comments. I will delete it if I see it.
I will say. I actually did it mine moral decay. I know a lot of people like you do not like it. Which is fine But for me I will say Yes buttercup is out of character but considered she literally knocked out All these villain's teeth And probably cost them. Permanent damage because they can't grow their teeth back. It cost them a lot of money to get new ones. I guarantee she probably got what she deserved.
Okay I’ll be honest. I don’t hate Moral Decay. I USE to hate Moral Decay, like a LOT. I thought Buttercup’s actions were extremely out of character and were only an excuse to see her get pummeled. But then… I started watching Ed Edd n Eddy… and that’s when I realized… Greed can takeover anybody. Like Professor in A Very Special Blossom. He REALLY wanted those golf clubs and was willing to neglect Bubbles’ and Buttercup’s questions as to how Blossom got them. So it’s not just Buttercup. And it was her first time, this small child, receiving money. Of course it’s a big deal for her. And for some, like Blossom and Bubbles, it’s not as big of a deal. All children are different. And let’s not forget that Buttercup felt really bad about hurting Bubbles… but then that overtaking greed comes back into play when she realizes that getting more of Bubbles’ teeth will get her more money. But she’s still in there, her good side. She’s realizes that she can get teeth from bad guys, people she’s actually SUPPOSE to beat up. She flies to hotline, hoping there will be more crimes, so she doesn’t instantly go after anybody. Again, her goodness is still there. But then that greed returns and she grows impatient. Although, she does ONLY go after bad guys, so at least she was seeing with some form of justice. Greed makes us do horrible things, but it doesn’t automatically make us a bad person. And afterward, Buttercup never did anything like this again. She’s clearly sorry for what she’s done, even if she won’t admit it.
Wow Umbra this song is so cool!! Both to listen to and the story that goes along with it!! Also my friends and I each have our own Powerpuff Girls AUs and in my AU there’s a chapter (or episode) that tackles these feelings of Buttercup always being assumed the worst of that pretty much your vids inspired me to make. I would love to use this in some way shape or form when the time comes to pump out that chapter in the future!! Really well done girl 💚
@@Umbra_Magna777 it’s actually just my AU my friends just have their own ones that we like to share with each other lol 🤣 and I still am not completely sure about how I wanna publish mine but I will definitely keep you posted about this little Buttercup story!! 💚
Buttercup did not deserve that off of both episodes she was a happy child on the movie until meaningful name because it begins with a b he didn't have no thoughts homemade Buttercup feels I don't think she have a connection to her family I thought she did he would give her a better name that's why she was mad all the time because affected her, And the professor never been proud of her and encouragement talking Too. Poor girl I want to give her a hug so bad!!! Who will take things from My Little girl!!
I hate the people in Townsville for trying to make Powerpuff Girls not be heroes and for putting them in jail for things they didn't do. Because there stupid lazy assholes to the girls. They should all say sorry to them and to never do it again. So the real bad guys are the people in the city
And in the reboot Buttercup was given alot of favoritism in that show with barely anything for Blossom and Bubbles. All because Buttercup is a fan favorite among the girls...sooo
I've seen the reboot, and it usually portrays Buttercup even worse than the original. She's constantly disrespecting Ms. Keane in class (something she almost never did in the original), and one of the newer episodes features her going overboard to be muscular and gaining unhealthy amounts of weight. I don't think that's how fans want their favorite characters to be portrayed.
To bs fair Buttercup bullies the fuck outta Bubbles in some epsiodes or makes fun of her too. Blossom also laughed at Buttercup with the blanket yet I see no complaint about her. And Buttercup has took Octi before or made fun of Bubbles for having it. If you talk about double standards for one you might as well do it for all three.
I actually touched on this in my extended review of "Cover Up". There are definitely episodes where Buttercup teased Bubbles. The difference though is that Buttercup always gets called out or punished for doing so, while Bubbles always gets off Scott free. The reason I elaborate so much on Bubbles is because up to this point, no one seemed to talk about any wrong that she did. They seem to love mentioning the things Buttercup and Blossom do, but since Bubbles has cute redeeming qualities, it seems she can get away with a lot more in comparison to her sisters.
Bro I love bubbles but the double standards are insane with her never getting punished bc she’s the cute and innocent one and it’s like weirdly infantilizing too like could they not have punished her at the end of bubblevicous or smth
Well actually in the season 6 episode Pee-Pee G's there is sort of a moment like that between Buttercup and the Professor where the Professor basically explains,in his own way, that wetting the bed is a perfectly common thing to do as a child. Sure the moment is meant to be more comedic than Professor's prior talks with the girls, but him saying "Aren’t you glad we had this talk" as well as his inner monolog of him repeating "I can do this"(which I think is basically him trying to explain it in a way that won't embarass his daughter) I feel like It can be considered a sweet moment in it's own way. Sure the episode is most definitely *not* the best and the moment is more on the comedy side of things, but I think it does show the Professor genuinely does care a lot about Buttercup like he does Blossom and Bubbles.
I actually did like one part about "Nuthin' Special". After spending the entire episode basically one-upping Buttercup, she basically has a full fledged breakdown and insults herself claiming that she's not and will never be special. And her sisters, after realizing how upset they've made her feel and how upset she's been feeling in general, actually apologize and tell her that even if she has no special power they genuinely love and value her as a member of the team and as her sister.
Actually, I liked “Schoolhouse Rocked.” I actually thought the Gangreen Gang had some funny moments in that episode other than being villainous to the kids in school. For example, the arcade scene, the Show-and-Tell scene, and even the climax where they get beaten by the Powerpuff Girls in their “Dodgeball game.”
I agree with everything u said. I think the girls should get paid for fighting crime. I'm sure the police and fireman get paid, 2k is what they deserve, if not more. The mayor thinks candy and a few coins will please them.
Its good you talk about the old powerpuff girls than the remake. Yeas agred at the first episod ms kean is so stupid the green gangs is really dangerus
In the final scene of Cover Up I think Blossom and Bubbles were angry not because Buttercup had her blanket, but because they thought she was using her blanket as an excuse not to fight crime, but that's the problem; Buttercup has always shown her love for fighting and beating all the monsters and villains, so it can't be an excuse; On the other side, Blossom and Bubbles are people who are not afraid to show themselves vulnerable, if they have to cry they do it, but Buttercup does not, she is more closed and hates looking vulnerable in front of people and her sisters, possibly for fear of showing weakness, she would NEVER cry or want to look weak in front of anyone, much less her sisters. So, would Blossom and Bubbles really think that Buttercup was using the blanket as an excuse not to fight after seeing her literally crying her eyes out over not finding the object that provided her safety? I'm sure that if something similar had happened with Bubbles and Octi they would be super understanding of her, why not with Buttercup too? Buttercup is also my favorite character and I feel so sorry for her in this episode :(
I only agree with a FEW of the episodes being on the list. I think your take was completely based on a "this is out-of-character" problems while completely ignoring the entertainment value of the episodes because I genuinely enjoyed a lot of episodes on the list. I agree with Schoolhouse Rocked being on the list and Blossom's negligence making the elder-villain episode boring. Here's what I say is the real #1 WORST EPISODE of the OG Powerpuff Girls and yes it is from Season 1: 'The Bare Facts' a lot of this episode is. . . A BLACK SCREEN. It is a stupid, boring, visual-less episode!
I understand where you're coming from, but I've always found out-of-character problems with episodes very distracting, and they tend to detract from my ability to enjoy the episode as a whole. I have to disagree that there is any such thing as a "real" number one worst episode. It's simply a matter of opinion, and my opinions ostensibly differ from yours. I'm glad you were able to enjoy these episodes when I just couldn't because at least the hard work of the writers didn't go to waste.
@@Umbra_Magna777 Your points would make the best of sense for a story-heavy series like Steven Universe, characters and story arcs actually matter there and they ruined and wasted a lot of the character development in that show.
@@DarkstarArchangel Again, that could be argued. I simply don't agree that character consistency doesn't matter in shows like The Powerpuff Girls. I acknowledge your point that it doesn't have as much continuity as other shows, but I would argue that is the very reason why character consistency is needed. It is the glue that holds the show together, otherwise it would be a jumbled up mess. Fans like myself are attached to these characters, and to see them acting differently, especially when it involves hurting other characters, is disheartening to say the least. I understand why it wouldn't be as important to some people as it is to others, but everyone's going to have a different perspective on what makes bad episodes bad.
@@Umbra_Magna777 If you thought that was bad, if you are a fan of Foster's Home then just wait until you see that one Foster's party (not the one where Mac eats sugar) episode.
I didn't like the episode Sun Scream as well the girls get sunburned because they didn't listen to the professor after he told them to put on sunscreen they said that sunscreen is for nerds it also shows some gross imagery of the sunburn where blossom is in agony trying to get out of bed.
I really didn't like that buttercup took the whole episode to find what her special super power is when it's not even considered a special super power at all =.= she could've had something cooler than that, just like her sisters,I love that blossom has ice and fire breathe depending on if it's summer or winter,I like that bubbles can speak spanish and talk to animals (blossom was able to understand animals in episode 1 which was never explained or heard about ever again) and buttercup? I don't know, give her teleportation,I haven't seen any the girls able to do that,it would be cool to teleport anywhere instantly and it's an actual power unlike curling your tongue,I can curl my tongue to buttercup, but you don't see me gloating and rubbing in people's faces =.=
I didn't really like the chalk episode when Buttercup's being fed up with Bubbles's chalk drawings and crushed them in front of her and made her cry while Buttercup's satisfied without an apology until the end! that makes me sick!
@@kpc9602 usually bubbles sounds shrill & annoying when she cries but i felt sorry 4 her in that episode. professor shouldve been in it, scolded buttercup in that scene & made her apologize. if she said she didnt do anything wrong he’d probably say “buttercup, u just broke ur sister’s chalk! she wasnt bothering u drawing on the blacktop & u could play kickball just fine”. if she still said bubbles shouldve used paper he’d probably say “buttercup, apologize 2 ur sister or ur grounded”
I don't like the chalk episode ethier, buttercup was way too harash in that one, plus I'm also an artist, bubbles can forgive buttercup all she wants, but I will not >:(
I'm a die-hard Powerpuff girls fan ever since the show came out! And I have to agree of your opinions even though I hated Moral Decay and A Very Special Blossom as top worst in my opinion. The greed, materialism, and out of character often bothers me. And a curled tongue? A special power? Oh please! Anybody can do it.
I misspoke. I meant that it's an ability unique to her, while Buttercup doesn't seem to have any abilities apart from what her sisters can do. Apologies for the confusion.
