This is a really great video! I fly fish but I want to take my grandson fishing so I got a spinning rod to help maximise his chances of fishing and keep it a bit simpler. This has been really informative.

Great video I’m going to try my hand at fly fishing ..I have a couple of questions do you use a loop to loop connection and second question my rod came with a nine foot tapered leader do I need such a long leader my local stream is quite small and it’s putting me off because I think it would be too hard to use for a beginner lol
