Hi, I'm Michael. When I play music, I call myself, "Braindead". In the event you want to see snippets of my late-night drunken mixes, random music stuff I come across, and general nonsense, here you go. As a bonus, I might also post pictures of my dogs.
I think this may be the only jazz-rock fusion album I have ❤️, and “We’re Leaving” is a standout - otherworldly bass playing by the living legend Leland Sklar 🎸 😎👍! The Children of the Sun album was my junior year of high-school 🎸😎👍! Age 16-17 - believe me, this was way-out for Tulsa, Oklahoma in the late 1970s 😅! One of those albums that go quite well with cannabis (legal, where I live, now), although that’s not necessary for appreciation, at all 😊!
I sang this in 1968 with my sister and the rest of the "Youth Group" at Westside Baptist Church in Daytona Beach. I still remember the words and music!!!
This is just awesome! Do you happen to have any footage from the show on 5/18/81 at the Agora as it’s seemingly been taken offline. I have 6 of the songs recorded that I’ll put up in due haste, but the show is too damn good for only fragments to remain.
I do have that actually. I have the full show which contains more songs than what aired on KUHT. I’ve never added it because it was already online, wonder why it was taken down?
@@EponymousStudios I have no clue, but it breaks my heart. Is there a way you could get that to me!? I promise it would be for my eyes only if that’s of any concern
In 1967 I was a second year Glorieta Baptist Assembly staffer who sang tenor in the choir assembled to present Good News. My work assignment as a staffer was as a crew chief of auditorium “maintenance technicians”. Most staffers arrived the last week of May and received work assignments at that time. A call went out for volunteers to sing a new folk musical. We had one week to learn it from scratch, reading from manuscript, before presenting it in a Saturday night church service. I remember writing out the words to one number on a sheet of notebook paper taped to the back of the guy in front of me We continued singing it every succeeding Saturday night that summer. Arrangements and instrumentation were still being worked out, but Bob Oldenburg played piano and Eddie Lunn played guitar. Billy Ray Hearn conducted the thing, with assistance from Jim Stanton, Cecil McGee, and others. We also had drums and bass, and I auditioned (but was rejected) on clarinet. To answer the fellow’s question, none of the staffers were paid anything extra as it was considered a normal staff activity. The recording was supervised by Joe Ann Shelton later that summer in an all night session lasting from 7 PM to 4:30 AM under rather primitive conditions. This explains some of the pitch problems and worn-out voices recorded in take after take. Again, no money changed hands. Come to think of it, recording had to have taken place on a Wednesday night/Thursday morning, because the old week’s guests departed Wednesday afternoon, and the new guests arrived Thursday afternoon. Dave Johnson of the rich deep voice went from recording session to his job in the bakery. Wed/Thur was mad-dash cleanup time. RIP Bob and Eddie, and kudos to Pat Brummitt (later Miss New Mexico) for her gorgeous vocal solo.
This is soooooooo Great!! Thank you sooooooo much!!!! I still have my " Moo" tape from 1985 and it Still works!!!!!! I had Washarama....it broke though.😢..... The 1st time I heard The Judy's was Spring of 1986!!! My good high school friend Judd turned me on to them!! Growing up in Houston, Tx. Myself.... I thought it was sooooo cool they were also from Houston!! I never did hear their music on the radio, I just gathered they were an " Underground " band and the only way you could hear them was if someone else had heard or seen them!!! Listening to The Judy's always puts a smile on my face. It reminds me of my dear sweet high school friends and some of The Best Times of My Life in high school from 1985-1989!!! Love this!!! Thanks!! ❤️
@@Jamie-bu9cq sorry, I've uploaded all I took. I tried to be reasonable holding my phone up through entire songs. I know it must have annoyed the hell out of the people behind me, so I only took a few. I'm going to take some more next month when I see him in Knoxville, though. And I'm on an aisle in the pit. Probably not the best angle, but I'll take more of him then!
Thank you for uploading this video. Actually, I was thinking to buy this album because it has been listed in my wantlist for quite some time. After listening to it, I realized that it was the song For Now Anyway that had caught my attention, the others being not remarkable. Therefore, in view of the LP price, I will defer my purchase.
Stumbled upon this EP in a cassette bin in a record store about five years after its 1985 release. Was stunned by the layered triple richness of his voice, the lyrics, and his playing. I haven't found anything as magnificent in the 35 years since.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-66uVuJMAR5Q.htmlsi=FSrW3qqJGIvChM5H This is a portuguese version which I've been listening since I was a kid, very good version as well.
Cheesy radio band. Wolf should lay off the road food, that stuff will get ya. The bass player is a fluff lol, a little overkill of performance and ya, Wolf doesnt have much here... its another stock sounded track, basic.
Thanks. I was the schmuck standing on the steps in back holding up my phone all night, hoping I didn't disturb anyone behind me! It was worth it though. I captured some of my favorite songs. The video was a little more shaky than I would have liked, and the lighting last night wasn't all that great. Wolf needed a spotlight on him, but since there wasn't one, the camera kept alternating between focusing on the backdrop and him, so sometimes he is blurry, then it refocuses. A bit distracting. But for a bootleg video, I guess it's OK, and the sound is good!
I was on the floor probably about ten feet away from you. Then on Friday afternoon, My wife and I met Valerie Bertinelli at Parnassus bookstore. Valerie was there for a book signing of her new book “indulge”. We only had a few minutes to talk to her and I told her that we were at Wolfies concert and she said that she was too. I kinda thought she would be at the concert but she was probably back stage
Ah...I'm all outta CheezWizz, Dijon mustard, Heinz Ketchup, imitation vanilla, Lawry Season Salt, A1 Steak Sauce - looks like I get to taste all these lovely animals "on the natch", as it were!
Seeing things from the 90s or early 00s makes me sick and sad! 1999-2001 were probably the best years of my life! I was 11-14 years old. My childhood was at its peak. Watching MTV, ESPN, PPV movies and sports every day, while playing outside with my friends every day, playing sports, going on adventures, riding bicycle around the town and neighborhood. Then playing Nintendo 64 games every day too, Mario Kart, Diddy Kong Racing, Mario Party, Goldeneye 007, Super Smash Bros, Starfox 64, etc. I was so into MTV, Pokemon and sports as a kid. I miss those days around the 2000s. That 1999-2000 New Year's Eve was epic! I was at my grandmas NYE party with all my family, my big family. I was 12 years old. We partied until like 4 AM. At like 2 AM we went to my grandmas sister's NYE party, which also had her whole family in there. She lived like 2 minutes from us in the same neighborhood. Everyone in the neighborhood was on the streets partying and having a good time. Nothing will ever beat the year 2000 & the years around it 🥲 Hard to believe this was almost 25 years ago! Geez. How did time fly that fast?! P.S. at 11 PM in USA 2:24:50 we in Puerto Rico were welcoming the year 2000! I was celebrating as a kid with my family at that exact time. Thanks Carson and NY for celebrating for us and mentioning us.
