This channel is focused on all things related to cameras, editing, and everything in between. If you're a beginner-intermediate content creator, filmmaker, or photographer - this is right where you need to be and I'm stoked to have you a part of the channel.
I believe that cameras are a learnable language and once you cross the bridge from "how do I use this" to "I'm finally ready to create epic stuff", it can be an incredibly valuable skill.
Yo Sean. How did you do that shot with the car going normal speed, then it went slow mo, then back to normal. I gather that was done in post. Do you recommend certain frame rate if I were to do those kind of shots regularly? I love that effect and live downtown and want to start doing that with cars and moving objects.
Dude no BS, im newer to photography and videography , but you have made the learning curve almost non existent , im consistently putting out content ( photo and video * some video not on my channel yet*) that i am extremely happy with. Getting into photography and video was extremely daunting task to undertake , especially since I am a notorious perfectionist. I have gotten so much value from your channel !
I have a super technical question that I've seen so many confusing answers about. I totally understand exposing zebras properly for S-LOG 3, however something that shifts on any Sony camera when using display LUTs on-camera is just that: the zebras change. If you swap from S-LOG3 display on the FX3 to using a display lut (even the one you recommended), the striping changes drastically and will often times indicate that something is blown out when it (technically) isn't according to S-LOG3 exposure. So, what exactly is going on here and how do you rescale the values out to be equal? I just tested this with the display LUT from Sony that you recommend prior to commenting. Any idea?
I make the exactly same settings like you on my a6700 but the mm its everytime -2.0 and the image its looking a bit orange. Its that because I don't have a nd filter ?
This video is everything I've been looking for the last two weeks. I can't wait to see what else is in your channel. I've been shooting photography for about 2 years now. I do inexpensive videography for clients, but I've been shooting with an iPhone on a gimbal. This week I picked up a Sony a7iv for a great deal and I've been wearing google out trying to soak up all the I can on Picture Profiles and shooting with SLOG3 and trying to teach myself how to properly color grade in post. I'm really glad I found your channel and I look forward to seeing what other knowledge you have to share.
@@seandewispelaere It doesn't work unfortunately with the A7IV, even with the latest firmware version (3.02)... Such a simple software solution, but Sony keeps locking customers out of it. Until then, we can use the Monitor+ app.
Yes! The great guide of Sony cameras strikes again 🤩 and looking good doing it! The new studio looks great! I need to check out that monitor app, for sure! Keep it up, Sean 👊
I've watched a million videos on SLOG3 and how to expose it properly over the past week, and this video is easily the best I've seen set. A lot of detail included but told in very simple terms, cheers mate!
Hi Sean, great video as always :) My man, I really love my Zve1, I really do, but using it for professional run n gun work I cant stand the fact that it only has 7 customizable buttons anymore hahah I am serious, I like my workflow to be lightning fast and I feel like this is the only real flaw from this camera, I believe the FX3 has like 15 custom buttons.... MY DREAM frfr
Thanks and I feel that. I guess the touch screen helps mitigate that a bit? I guess that is one the sacrifices for cost and size. I really wish they'd at least include a joystick on these smaller cameras.
Best video on A7C2 on the RU-vid big thumbs up mate 👍 Sold my A7C yesterday and it looks like this is going to be my next purchase, although A7CR does look tempting... but not sure120MB RAW files are to my liking plus 4K 24-30fps on A7C2 has better quality
Sean i like that statement about full frame feel. It's like wearing a Swiss watch compared to a Japanese movement, they are both capable of telling time. In our minds we feel like a million bucks with that Swiss watch on.
One of the biggest tricks for me is not doing any color work in Premier. It just doesn't handle the color information the same way Resolve does. If you are shooting log or raw please just use Resolve. Even the free version.
zeiss and sigma lenses color looks absolutely TRASH 🗑️, whats the point of paying 1000+ dollars for a lense that’s going to give you smartphone level quality 😂
I'm so sad, have everything set up but the dummy battery you linked to is out of stock & I'm afraid to use an off-brand. Also need UK plugs, not American :( Do you know if there is any solution to this?
Damn sorry to hear that. I mean the off-brand ones are fine and relatively inexpensive. I wouldn't suggest using an off-brand one for the long-term but until the Sony one is available I'd probably pick one up.
Hey man! Amazing video and I learnt something as i picked up the a6700 a week ago. For some reason my camera doesnt show me how many shots I have left on the SD card at the top left where it was supposed to be, any idea how to fix the issue? Thanks!
Great video! You helped me a lot, a bit short and not very detailed AF test, do you know which lens has the best autofocus? I'm interested in Sony FE 85 f1.8 and Batis 85 1.8 :)
