Award-winning digital lighting controls for designers, creative pros, artists, architectural lighting and more. Makers of Luminair for iPad/iPhone. Since 2008
unless I'm missing something the timing/tempo options seem very limiting. No possibility of a hold time less than .1 of a second, and no ability to take quaters/eights and so on from the tempo means the only way to make sequences faster than this is by assigning a different midi note to each scene. It's also frustraiting that there is no ability to sync the tempo to a midi clock input.
It looks as though the scenes are active. Is that correct? From the descriptions, it sounds like they go to static settings, but the faders are constantly moving. I'm currently still on vsn.2 and active scenes would be a huge incentive.
Do you need a separate MoonLite node for each light you want to control, or can you buy one and run DMX cable to the other fixtures? If so, are any changes to dimming or color universal when using just one MoonLite?
Only a single MoonLite is connected to Luminair over BLE. From there you can plug MoonLite directly into a llght and daisy chain via DMX cables to other fixtures. OR you can put the MoonLite into TX mode to transmit wireless CRMX to CRMX receivers.
Is there an option to make faders more narrow? I need more faders showing. Alternatively: When I add a fixture like the Martin Mac Viper, I´d like to remove from sight the parameters I´m not gonna manipulate live. Collapsible faders would be nice. There are faders I need to manipulate when focusing, but wanna hide during show. Can I just remove them in the fixture profile when done programming? Without ruining my programming/focusing?
When MoonLite is connected to Luminair, you don’t need any other DMX interfaces (Art-Net/sACN) connected. But Luminair will also allow you to output to Art-Net/sACN interfaces simultaneously with Bluetooth if you desire.
I'd also like to know how to do this. I created one from the manual, but the manual was wrong, and I need to either edit the fixture or delete and start again.
Hey, I figured it out. Go to add a fixture to the project (the big + symbol) then find the fixture you want to delete. Upper right hand corner should be an 'edit' button, which then allows you to remove fixtures. Hope this helps.
Thanks David, that's a great help. I was using the search facility to find the fixture, and then the only option it gives you is to install the fixture into your current project.
cool video on seeing that everything can work, can you possibly make one with a description or instruction on how someone can make it do that for themselves?
Very nice. Saw it as a new feature after I updated the app. Already ordered that cable, will see how much it will improve drop outs over wifi vs this cable.
What were your results? I am using the older app with the wifi and over time my fades become a problem and lights do not responsively change like they should. Did the wired solve the problem?
Absolutely flawless, as far as drop out goes. Sometimes I have to unplug it and plug it back in, for the app to recognize it. But with the latest update and new cable that has power coming through it, it works perfectly.
+Scott Holpainen (KEXP Video) Yes, the cable is strictly used for DMX (Art-Net and sACN) and does not interfere with other communications. Livid's Ohm controllers need to be connected to a MIDI source via USB in order to work, but other Bluetooth LE MIDI control options or RTP MIDI over Wi-Fi will still work when the lightning-ethernet cable is connected. ok thanks so much. also i just got all of the equipment in. i bought a EDMX1 from Dmx king but i cant figure out how to configure the router and ipad to work with the Eternet to dmx dongle.. do you have a video on how to do this?
Hi, can we get a video demoing the stacks, especially sound activated mode, on both iPad and iPod/Phone? I think this app could work for great for a mobile DJ setup, but since there is no demo version I'm hesitant to pull the trigger until I see it in action.
Is it possible to build a midi controller like that with the hardware you sell on your website? i want to build one on my own, with lots of faders and pads
If you watch the video, you will actually find out what the " colourful thing on the upper left corner" is... It's a live output of what the controls are doing.
