I enjoy nearly all genres and styles of games but tend to gravitate toward settlement builders, survival games, city management and some first person shooters (FPS). Nice video but the problem is that it is slowest method to do xp farming, as you'd only earn up to 164 xp per 99 adaptive frames. It can get little tedious for controller, as the players have to continuously tapping buttons. Having auto fabricator would help but xp rate rewards are way too low. Best way to grind your levels is, well, hunt alien creatures down at high level systems like Hyugen and Schrodinger where you can earn 400 to 700 xp easily via killing lot of animals. It's much more faster that way. Or, establish animal husbandry then use 40mm GL launcher to wipe doves of them out then repair structure then rinse & repeat. You can earn much as 700 to 1,400 xp from that too. For credit wise earnings, I think doing farm with plants stuff them making medicine nets you pretty good credit earnings.
Bessel System is my first outpost endeavor in each playthrough. Bessel III-3b and Bessel II have an abundance of valuable resources for manufacturing and making money. While there are threats from pirates, there are no organic wildlife issues to deal with which is nice, especially early game. I've built an inter-system cargo link that makes managing the resources and manufacturing easy. Great guide.
So many people have said this very location is one of the best there is. Wtf are you talking about, many people list that lake specifically in the top 10 build sites. Ridiculous
This guide needs an update since lots of base prices have changed a lot since this video. I like that production time has been taken into consideration when making this guide.

Nice, only it doesn't work like this in the current, released version, if it ever did. I have never, not once, come across a location where iron patches can be fit into the same outpost as aluminum patches, and I've seen plenty, including Bessel 3b.
Also worth while is to get pilot rank 1 it enables ship thrusters so you can boost away from enemies then use the thrusters to do a J-turn then hold the thruster button and reverse at the same time and you can fly at your full forward speed in reverse as long as you continue to hold them. Meaning your get to head full speed away from enemies while facing your weapons towards them which can deal massive damage while taking advantage of range meaning they can't shoot you back. You woulda beaten all those ships even the higher levels that killed you with this method Edit: if you don't understand what i mean theres tutorials for XBOX and PC explaining it
I like how you just walk out the ship and have the spot , meanwhile i‘m running around on this moon for hours now and haven’t found the spot. I really like the concept of the game but it’s just frustrating
I tried this for about 2 hours now... landed a half dozen times at different mountain pixels where there is a rocky desert and hill pixel right next to it (in a kind of L pattern)... no luck, I've spent a ton of time running around and have never found any 3 resources in one spot. Am I missing something? Edit: Finally got it to work and found the exact right spot... damn this was finnicky without coordinates...

normally build ALONG rivers/streams are the bests. never limited. Well in this game, and back then the smaller ones, not the large ass one because of bridges arent as large obvious.y I never played but seeing the layout and and all East of Venica seems nice south of the other spot... 2 roads, mountain to the easts, Lake to the south, decent connections.
Hi for some more ideas with your stone and iron fence you can put like the wattle in the middle instead of the iron piece. Myself and a heap of other people have been begging the dev's to give our town folk the ability to use the washing station\plucking station. We have been also requesting the ability to have access to the other decorations that are around the different towns so im really hopeful that they will be kind to us in that regard.
I love the bigger houses for my village's but found out the hard way that they will multiply like rabbits. And then you lose alot due to them not working when they have a child. I also use between 9-12 day seasons. Oh you were out on your planks due to forgetting to change the one piece of roof back to the rl same as the others.

Any chance of a longer video of: perfect day 1 start, from character creation, traits to pick, ship upgrade and then outpost for XP farming while still being in "tutorial" (not talking to sarah inside the lodge to get her to join the party)
Do you even know how medieval towns were?? Because I see that all your houses are made from stone and that, my friend, is not accurate at all. There were no stone houses. The only buildings made out of stone were the lord's manor and the church (and the castle if the town had one). That's it. The rest of the buildings were made out of wood, entirely out of wood. Stone was only for rich people. Also, they were gridless cities, builded around an important building such as the lord's manor, the church etc. no grids at all. that's why towns/cities walls were circular or semi circular and not squared... I encourage you to build a town following real medieval maps (you can find them on the web) and try to make your own, maybe near a river to split the town in two, and you'll find yourself building a beautiful city. Don't get me wrong, yours is beautiful (grid aside) but you'll enjoy walking a true medieval town, following these instructions and these maps you'll find. Trust me, buddy
Took me 3 landing tries and over 2 hours but finally did it! Now I just need to finish connecting my storage lines as you described and build some additional weather shelter or a hut. Thank you!
Great video, Ive been looking into things like this, however I want to adjust for RP type play, how would you adjust for market limits such as demand and supply? Mechanically and min max this all makes sense but will a vendor really buy 1000 arrows and entirely deplete their funds if this was real life? What would happen if you flooded the market? Also along those lines I want to food in a more realistic way, yes there is peak efficient methods and the NPCs don't care about anything other than food and water value, but what if it was real life?
As a new player, who absolutely loves this game even though I've only had it for 2 days-- Thank you! This was so helpful. I did some major "cheating" with my first run through, because I'm a sucker for story-- and now that I've fallen inlove with the building mechanics, I'm ready to play for real 😂😂 I was super worried as I hadn't quite figured out how the heck to make any money yet, but your tips helped a lot! And that location is EVERYTHING I wanted, thanks for that too!
I've done two saves in relatively the same area, just more along the south side of the lake, with most buldings next to the lake and my farms going up the hill on the other side of the road. I liked building around the main road there, made it look interesting once you get decorating with stone fences and lanterns and stuff. Generally agree that anywhere around that lake is the ideal location, and looks like they set it up just for that. On my first save, however, I picked the farthest corner of the lake in the southeast corner of the map, which was probably the most difficult location in the entire game due to being far away from every town, dangerous wildlife everywhere, and the terrain did not accommodate building at all. Turned out to be a very strange looking town when I was done, but it functioned, and the nearby mine was quite the boon, especially late game.
This is intriguing. As someone who dislikes hunting and am terrible at it, I am very happy I settles close to Gostovia where there are no dangerous animals. 😅 Travelling along the roads to Lesnica and Denica almost killed me several times already.
