3:45 this shot is almost one for one with the final shot of The Godfather: Kay asks Michael if he ordered Carlo's death and is relieved when he denies responsibility. As she leaves, capos enter the office and pay reverence to Michael as "Don Corleone".
programming at its' finest. NEVER, EVER usurp your will against another, unless you understand the full weight and measure of their commitment to personal freedom.
The fact that Logan could’ve just told them that he changed the divorce agreement so the super majority is removed but he didn’t. He got Caroline back on the phone because he wanted to see their faces when they found out directly from her that their own mother betrayed them so it would cut even deeper. Great show
I had never seen the show when this episode aired but I watched it anyway. By the end I was sitting on the edge of the bed and when Tom walked in I gasped.
Caroline is the most repulsive personality among a series of really horrible people. She has no redeeming quality as a human being. One thing that could have been considered as her only redeeming quality was her not avoiding controversial fact everyone avoided. At least she always nudged everyone. But this becomes invalid here. Look how she avoids talking the issue. She is avoiding the fact that she just sold her kids. Normally she would poke a milion holes on someone else doing it. But here she doesn't even want to be on the phone. She really is the worst. But I think she was not that bad. She became this way once she lost Logan and thought she had to fck people or she would be the one get fcked. Even if it meant it would be her kids. And she gave up them probably for not so much
JG definitely locked into something real in his performances; it just doesn't feel like acting. The poor guy was so hard on himself, too. He's definitely missed.
Shiv in this scene, her acting is all in her fucking body language it’s soo good. You can see by her body that she doesn’t want Tom touching her or near her.
I got my wife to watch the Sopranos about 2 years ago after asking her to watch it with me for like 15 years. She cant get over the fact that all the characters just seem so real, like they exist somewhere out there in New Jersey and you are just watching their lives. Its a testimate to the writing, the actors, the stories and situations they find themselves in. This show is so good because things hit you on a deep emotional level and as crazy as the characters are, we all relate to them at times. This is a prime example of that, getting sad over a song that somehow touches deep seeded feelings suddenly. I will stick by this statement that, this is the greatest show of all time....wish it never ended, wish I could go back and watch it for the first time again. Nothing beats this show for the connection you feel to all the characters, whether they are good or bad at times. I miss James Gandolfini so much man.......ugh.
Originally, a term in her divorce agreement gave them a power that they were going to use to stop Logan. But since Tom warned Logan, Logan called their mom and changed the clause that gave them this power.
Easily my favorite scene from the show. It just an absolute roller-coaster that perfectly displays every aspect of Tony’s character. Not to mention the perfect use of music.
I noticed something on the pattern that every seasons, each siblings except Connor have their own storyline, and then in season finale, they're always broken: Season One: It's all about Kendall and then in the finale, he accidentally killed someone and then begged Logan who knew what happened to not tell the public about it Season Two: It's all about Shiv and in Season Finale, she begged Logan to not put Tom in prison for cruise scandal eventhough later Tom offered himself to go to prison afterwards. Season Three: It's all about Roman and then in Season Finale, he begged Logan for not betray him. And then in Season Four, it's all about the siblings want to take down the Gojo deal, Mattson, Tom and Logan but it all failed as Logan died, the Gojo deal can't be fixed, Mattson picked Tom as his new CEO and in the season finale, they blew themselves up with their arrogance, scheme and also betrayal. In the end of the day, they get nothing. Logan leaves them with nothing and they all become nothing. Mattson, Tom and Logan are the red herrings and the real enemy is themselves, they can't trust each other anymore. They are completely broken and fragile.
