I just came across your very informative videos & (I can dig it). Your comment Build Something Cool is inspiring. But due to my injury and hard time's it seems outta reach. I have two projects, both 49 Chevy Styline Deluxe 2 door's, 1 of them a Fleetline are just that projects. Didn't mean to ramble on LOL KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK PS safety first!!
I love what you did with that 53 truck hood. Very interesting scoop perspective. I have a 37 Chevy I would like to get a better looking hood for a blower I'm putting in... insted of just the blower sticking out of a rectangular in the hood whole... got any thoughts
Nice wok! Are you going to show the floor mounted pedal system you mentioned? Would love to see a video on it or even some pictures of how it turned out.
Great skills Professor, thanks for sharing the video. Hey what headers are those that fit inside the frame rails? Looks like may be the Speed Inc. headers?
I have two questions, what product did you apply to your cab metal to hold it from flash rusting after blasting and do you have any video of the belt line repair I’m a little stumped on my belt line. Love your progress. Thanks
Great videos. I have a 52 5 window I'm building and getting lots of ideas. Interesting choice of music btw. Haha! Looks like youre in Texas, same as me, and not your typical Texas music. LOL.
Just watched the 8 videos in this series getting ready to start my 3rd project. First was a 98 Jeep TJ rock crawler (thick metal, built to bounce off rocks so it didn't need to be pretty), second was a 61 Chevy Apache pickup (way more complicated and delicate metal work). The 61 included front and rear suspension drop, power disc brakes, power steering, LT1/4L60/12-bolt driveline, tilt wheel, cruise control, heated bucket seats, and a bunch of other cool stuff to turn it into a good reliable daily driver truck. Probably the most complicated parts of that build were the full-length metal console and sleaving the true dual exhaust through the x-frame since I kept the torsion bar suspension. Now I'm making plans for a 51 Chevy pickup build and came across your series. I particularly enjoyed the detail on key aspects that are sometimes glossed over in these videos such as sheet metal work to fix rusted out panels (vice just cut and weld in patch panels), how you boxed the frame and built the cross members, and what you did to run the fuel and brake lines while thinking about future serviceability. I think it's the detailed work that makes the difference even if most of those details will never be seen by the average person. I'm looking forward to seeing how you'll tackle the foot pedals and master cylinder, and what you decide to do with the dash. Keep the videos coming!
Professor it's nice to see you back again.. How long do you think it will take you to complete this project? Very nice work.. keep building cool stuff... Take care my friend..
Very nice build I cant wait for the next videos, getting ideas to work in my 53, what kind of sheet metal and gage are you using for the fire wall and the patches repair?
I wish I could bring my 55 over there to Texas - I have a lotta work ahead of me with my body. Suspension and engine this year. Maybe by next year a hurricane will merge Florida and Texas together so you can help me out - lol Thanks for the videos
