Yeah! After the drive, we ended up trying mamajuana (a Dominican Republic beverage made of rum, wine, honey, and lots of dried plants) and smoking cigars that were hand rolled right in front of us. And we listened to a DJ play music at a cave pool. Definitely a fun day!
Yes. I am using the RS 1 inch for this one and all the videos before this one. The videos in Aruba, Curacao, Miami, and Dominican Republic are using a X3.
Thanks for the video, the RS 1 inch looks much better than the X4. I have 1 inch and I was wondering whether to buy X4 but I will probably give up and wait, maybe there will be an upgrade for 1 inch to 8K
Yeah, I would wait until the 8k upgrade to the 1 inch. My guess is it will get released this fall or the beginning of next year. They have to give the X4 some time in the market before they release another new camera with better looking footage.
Unfortunately, I have never used the Dji Pocket 3. I shoot 360 video for VR headsets and the Dji Pocket 3 doesn't shoot that style of footage. I like the RS 1 inch, but it is a 360 camera, which has pros and cons to it, especially if you are not planning on using it for 360 VR footage. 360 cameras do not have a zoom function like a typical camera. Even with 5.7K footage (or 8k footage with the X4), you are going to want to be close to your subject. A great thing about 360 cameras is that they are pretty small and when attached to a selfie stick (including the 9ft one) you can get it into some tight spots for some very cool looking drone-like footage. Check out @BrandonLiUnscripted 's video "11 Filmmaking Shot Ideas - Insta360 One RS 1” 360 Edition" to see some awesome tricks you can do with it.
I have both and prefer to use the DJI pocket 3 for any low light where I’m moving. Because of the gimbal, it eliminates the jitters your see on other action cameras including the 1inch 360. Now you can manually set your 1inch 360 to a higher shutter speed to make it look better but now you have other things to think about where the pocket 3 you can just turn on, leave in auto and know the footage is going to look great. Hope this helps.
One RS 1 inch looks so much better! Thanks!..now I am considering if to go for x4 or just stick to my x3 which I like the form factor. Smaller, can fit into spectacles case, and mostly,x4 does not look miles better in low light..marginal
Yeah, some other cons of the X4 are the file size of the videos are much bigger and it doesn't work well with Adobe (unless you have a top of the line computer). So what I would do is wait till they upgrade the RS 1 inch to 8k, and in the meantime upgrade your computer to handle these types of videos (if needed). My guess is that they will release the RS 1 inch to 8k sometime this fall or the beginning of next year.
@@SuddenSurround One RS1 is abit out of my price range thought..lol..but again, thanks for this comparison video.. I will have a hard think..maybe just get it and sell my x3 for the 1 year warranty from x4. U got a new subscriber!
Thanks , helps a lot. What’s your opinion in the quality when wearing a VR Headset? And could you make a short comparison outdoors with blue sky. I think the one inch looks better at low light. But what about daytime?
Is the new X4 with 8K quality also on par with the 1 inch 360 in sharpness and low light? I was expecting the new X4 with a 1 inch sensor. Will you recommend 1 inch 360 over the new X4? I don't mind if the 1 inch 360 tech is 2 years old, does not have a large screen and waterproof features. Thanks in advance for your recommendation.
I wish they upgraded the lens, but it is almost identical to the X3 and not great in lowlight settings. In fact they even recommend not shooting in 8k because of this. They say to use 5.7K for low light. The RS 1 inch is much better for lowlight, but doesn't have 8k resolution.
Would U recommend getting X4 to replace X3? The more I see Reddit, the more I see people saying it's not worth...almost like hateboys than fanboys in there..saying insta360 didn't do a good job for their next series, misleading customers n stuff and just handing money to them for not much innovation.. n over here where I am from, I probably have to sell $100 loss for X3(got it a year ago and I can't say I use it extensively as am not on holiday trips all the time) and then pay additional $200 for X4..
I just got back from Chicago where I was shooting some comparison videos between the x3, x4 and ONE RS 1inch. I will post them later this week/weekend. I am in the middle of upgrading my computer to handle Adobe Premiere's editing of 8K video, which is another tricky thing about using this kind of camera. My personal opinion is to wait until they release an 8k version of the ONE RS 1inch. Then you will have the better lens and the 8k upgrade. My guess is they will release something like that this fall or the beginning of next year. In the meantime, make sure your computer has what it needs to edit 8k footage, if you are planning on using Adobe, instead of Insta360's studio. Note that these 8k footage files are very big, and if you are using Adobe to edit them, you will need a very good CPU to handle it. I had to upgrade from an i9 9900K to a i7 14700k.
We had a blast! I love traveling, in general, but traveling with friends and family brings it to another level. Glad we could time capsule the experience in VR video!
Thanks for the feedback! It helps in the creation of new videos. So much so, that we are creating a website where you can submit feedback and have it directly affect the storyline and aspects of what we film next. Once it is complete I will let you know!
Peace be with you😌 I own the QooCam 3 as well. My videos tend to be less than 3 minutes so I haven’t experienced any audio issues. As I shoot mostly indoors, the videos it produces are a bit noisy but retain a fair amount of detail. Post processing is required. I’ve contacted Kandao sharing my thoughts & experiences. Thank you for this informative video. 👍
Thanks for the feedback. I was wondering how the experience was going for others. I love Insta360, the cameras and software are top notch right now. That being said, they need some solid competition (to keep the innovation going and the prices low). I was hoping a company like Kandao would be able to bring that type of competition to the market, but as of now I haven't found that level of competition in their products. Hopefully they keep improving their cameras and software to bring them into a place where they are seen as a solid alternative to Insta360.
Have you contacted Kandao about the issues you’ve found with their QooCam 3? I’ve reached out to them and have posted a couple of my videos to their Facebook page. My main concern is the camera’s dynamic range and have gone so far as to suggest to Kandao that the camera should offer either a LOG or RAW profile. The camera is a very good value but needs some polish.
@@GixrGuy Yes. I contacted them right away about the issues and actually sent the camera back to them. They said they would work on a fix for long beep issue every 5 minutes, which they attributed to their editing software. They thanked me for the feedback relating to the issues with Google & Apple red-flagging their software, and the issue with no audio in the editing software. However, they didn't say whether or not they were going to fix those things. Being that I returned the camera, I was wondering if people who currently own the camera are still experiencing those issues or if they ended up fixing those issues since the date I posted this?
@@SuddenSurround I watched @360vroomers "NO WAY!!! $349 Qoocam 3 vs Insta360 X3 vs GoPro MAX" RU-vid review. In it, he states, that the QooCam records long videos without gaps. His longest record time was 57 minutes. Maybe you'd gotten a defective camera?
I am scared...Kingston was trying to judge just how scary is scary....he did really well...and I know you..the scarier the better.....glad you had fun...
This and the Casa Loma "Legends of Horror" basement were his first haunted houses. I am glad he is brave enough to handle them (and not have it affect his ability to sleep at night when we turn the lights out).
