I dunno, I think there's just one glaring fault with this story - otherwise it's a delight. An anthropologist is trained throughout their education to leave cultural bias behind as it completely invalidates any and all observations. An anthropologist must be what Robert A Heinlein would call a "fair witness". I know I'm being picky, and if I get over this one problem it really is a good story.
