Nice setup, good info. Been looking everywhere for an overhead rail system that can make a 90 degree turn, are you aware of any systems or strut channels that can do that?
I have wood around my back porch. Not alot of wood, but I have these bees as well. A few every year. We'll my dog hates these bees and when their flying around trying to get in the hole, he catches them and kills them. For free. Loves chomping them down. 😅
I made a car/truck hitch carrier, turned the angle into square tubing for my frame and reinforced it with just angle but I welded on plates of steel to the angle to seal everything up nice . And used crusher screen for my grate . Still deciding it I want railing on it or not . Railing always just gets in the way ... lol
great video. at the end of changing my passenger side bulb I was ready to pay someone to do it. One simply cannot overstate how *short* that cable is. like zero slack in it. maybe took me 30mins in Total, most of it was putting bulb in. Thanks!
for added strength, make a loop out of the chain on the tree and tie off to the loop then you have 2 chains supporting you. Otherwise its just the one chain. I broke mine doing it your way.
I never have a problem with the angle; what I have a problem with is going too deep downward with the file; and not coming in contact with the top plate. However; the main reason I use my 2-in-1 sharpener; is to lower the depth gauges. Getting them consistent.
Wrong spot to put the blanket. If the things breaks and actually flies, it'll just go under the blanket. Having a bit of rope between blanket and snatch blocks allows the blanket to fall and the snatch blocks will go above the blanket so the blanket is captured by the system and can then dissipate the energy of the snatch blocks.
I bought a house in NC in October of 2023. In June of 2024 I noticed saw dust on my patio furniture. As it turns out, carpenter bees had CONSUMED the interior of a 10 x 2 x 20 pergola beam. The beam looked perfectly normal, stain was unaffected, but the stain was literally holding the outer shell of the beam together. When I squeezed the board with my hand it crumbled into flakes on the patio below. The entire pergola is being demo’s this fall due to obvious, dangerous, structural concerns. This is no minor issue. This is a $18,000 structure with damage not covered by homeowners insurance policies, a structure that I cannot afford to rebuild. Damage caused by bees. Unimagineable.
Just paid $60 for a plastic cover plate. But at least its now an easy repair. Big thanks for the heads up. I would have done the same as you otherwise. Or maybe just a bead of RTV around the old cover plate.
Hey Adam, trying to find the video you was talking about where you fabricated a clamp on style ball hitch for the front of ya tractor bucket and have looked through all ya videos and not seeing any that would resemble ya fabricating it, do you remember what the heading would be on the video, I must be overlooking it or something! Thanks
Automobiles are designed by people who never work on them. They put 10 pounds of !@#$ in a 5-pound sack and never think about what ordinary joes must go through to work on them.
any chemical spray like that will work for a month or 3, but you really need to spraypaint the deck to permanently keep the carpenter bees away, or else they will just come back next year...
Engineering at its finest, what a pain in da a§§, this was indeed the best method, hugging the fender I was able to position my left hand coming from the tire wheel and position my middle finger to have enough force to twist it counterclockwise to get it out. Good video.
I’m always Flanders when I see people improve inventions that require extra skills that most people lack. If I had welding, fabrication skills… most wouldn’t rely on creators like quickjack, Pittsburg…. But that’s my 2 cents.
fantastic product. I found it at Tractor Supply. $25 for that size I dilute 20 to 1. DO NOT BREATHE VAPORS OR SPRAY I spray around my house shutters in the spring, keeps the yellow jackets away all summer. soak and dry for dog collars, BAD FOR CATS keeps ticks and fleas away, spray basement cracks and sill plates, kills spiders and ants too. DO SPRAY NEAR FLOWERS OR WHERE HONEY BEES ARE
Great job!! I happen to be doing our driveway right now and this video is very similar to our driveway. I already did a pass then removed a bunch of weeds, grass, larger rocks and roots. Going to give it another go tomorrow and hope to have it looking close to what your's looks like. Thanks for posting Adam!

Just found your channel and catching up on your videos. I'm considering a B2601 but I've read several reviews about the stiff treadle pedal especially going in reverse. Do you have any issues with your treadle pedal? Thank you.
