Imagine the opening of a new Super Mario Bros. cartoon episode, and we see Lakitu filming Mario (dancing like Cecil) on the Odyssey ship, Luigi playing banjo (like Uncle Captian), Princess Peach clapping the tambourine (like Beany), and Princess Daisy playing a tuba, Toad playing trumpet, Toadette clapping, Yoshi and other Toads dancing around, and a Koopa Troopa (dancing the way Crowey dances on the top of the boat) while this Dixie marches in Hi-Fi music plays.
My biggest question is A; how did astronomers not know about this object’s existence? And B; how did this planetary scale object get effectively cut in half? Unless if this planetary scale object isn’t naturally occurring object but is instead Artificially created.
1:04 : Poor children : They are there, tied up and helpless, while this thug plays their favorite game in front of them. This bear is a horrible monster ☠☠☠ .
3:57- "In August 1947, Mr. A.C.R. Stone sat through an entire radio program *without laughing once!* He was listening to Norman Brokenshire at the time."
Anyone else notice that ol' Cees sounds a bit off when he says "Well, that's showbiz!" at the very end. Sounds like somebody else subbed for Irv Shoemaker that day.
MATTY MATTEL: (playing a "Cecil in the music box") "But first, we'll tell you something SWELL......." **Beany and Cecil pop up** CECIL and BEANY: "And then, our next cart-o-o-o-o-o-o-n-n-n-n-n-n!" {one of the original "MATTY'S FUNNIES" commercial bumpers}
Gramm Quacker seems like aconfused idea for a character, on one hand the idea seems to be that he doesn't realize Shakespear is trying to eat him, and yet his actions paint the oppisite picture. Like, why after complaining about it being dark would go to so much trouble to blow out Willy's matches? He doesn't know what they are for, so shouldn't he be happy to have a light?
The name "Fire Plug 5 Minus 2" is a parody of the Dixieland jazz band the Firehouse Five Plus Two, founded by Disney animator Ward Kimball. The Mecca Records bit is made even funnier when you learn that the record label it's parodying, Decca Records, passed on the Beatles in early 1962 (around the time this cartoon was made).
