Hi. Just wanted to ask you. Is your gearbox a GM or ZF model? What is the rev cutoff point before the gear shifts? Does the gear automatically shift when you're in sports / manual mode as well? I have a 323i and my revs always cut off at 6400 / 6500 RPM even in manual mode. Thanks in advance.
Hi ericpoon8278 , the 325i having higher rev because of its disa valve. The 323i should rev lower since it doesn’t have the disa valve. FYI, mine unit come with GM gearbox and will automatically rev at 6,900 rpm.
Yes, can retrofit with paddle shifter on steering wheel. You might need a steering wheel with paddle shift ( there are facelift and pre facelift version) and replace it with your existing unit and also require re program it.
I just owned a unit from 2010 about a month ago. First thing I did was to change all fluids and then check with BMW website on any recall. It does shown 2 recalls as what you mention in previous video. Now am waiting for feedback from BMW Welt Seremban on parts availability and when to send the car for replacement. I also did change the oil cooler for both engine and transmission as this is advise by my colleagues who had vast experience with BMW cars. Recently also had change the power steering pump as it had some leaking as inform by the mechanic when they did the oil cooler replacement. Overall am satisfied with the car performance although the steering is bit heavy compared to previous ride F30 which use the electric steering. I downgrade from F30 to E90 😅
This the the pre lci model, the price for it will range between RM 25k to RM35k depend on condition and variant (M sport or non M sport). With full service record sure will be higher price but with it won’t burden your wallet after you buy it.
E90 for your 1st car is good , but you need to do some homework and really go to market to search for some good E90. For salary wise, E90 is a cash but car, unless you want to loan kedai… if let say you no need to pay loan, an average person can easily own that car (ps: need to have some savings to maintain the car as this is still a BMW which the maintenance still consider high compare to local/Japan made car) . Last, if you want to own an e90…. Please go for 6 cylinder model ya …
@@syafiqanuar4650 congratulations to your buying. The car still look the same as I keep it in original looks. Maintenance as usual. Just some wear and tear and oil change 👍
Hi, I am using normal tires. Just throw away the RFT and get tyre repair kit and better insurance for towing service. But so far, I have been driving from Malaysia to Thailand chiang mai and back for more than 4000km distances without any there issue.
Hi bro. When you first put in the vin number on BMW website. Do you remember what it said? Did it use the words recall or "is subject to a technical campaign"?
If not mistaken, it’s direct show me the recall campaign and request me to contact service centre to make appointment. If you are not sure, you can call auto bavaria directly for confirmation.
Hi, latio is a good car… I still using it now.. (mileage is 230k km) … engine, chassis all are wear and tear… only the gearbox might need to replace or repair during 200k km… both my latio and livina facing the same issue. The cost is around RM2k to replace, 3k for repair…. Otherwise, it’s a good reliable car that can serve you well under end of its live. It’s much worth to get this than vios and city for the same age car…
@@MJYap thanks for heads up. yes auto gbox is a globally well known issue for Nissan. but when you say better than city/vios I assume its more to the handling and build quality? except for gbox issues Nissan are solid cars
Hi bro ,I wanna know that is it this bmw E90 will be a perfect car for a 19years old guy with monthly income 1500? Coz I'm planning about to own this bmw E90 as my first car in my 19 but still I'm worrying about the maintenance and about the petrol price, coz of that I'm still surveying more reviews about this E90 on internet, looking forward for your reply bro...
Hi, thanks for the question. I am not sure are you staying in Malaysia or not? If in Malaysia, with RM1500 income... there will be a little bit difficult if you go for E90 especially 325i as the fuel consumption, road tax, insurance and maintenance might exceed your income on that month when all come together. The road tax for example, will be RM900 per year. Let said if your income is RM1500, when you pay the road tax, your remaining balance is left only RM600.... But dont stop to chase for your dream car, cause i believe your income wont stop at RM1500 only... or if you want to try, maybe can take a look 320D, which road tax and fuel can save quite a lot... above are just my own opinion. Hope can help you.
👍👍👍❤❤❤ . Long term use , long term drive , long road had been left 😂😂😂 . What ever that is , bmw always in our heart - no matter what . Its at our value and pride , not just about the view and ride . Big thumb bro👍 .
Yes, I am still owned this car. Will try to keep her as long as possible…. You can go to search through the fb for e90 group just join the Aurizn team for Saturday morning drive…. Sometime, I am joining them too..
Thanks so much for posting English subs on this video! I'm going to have to go through the same procedure with my e90 so it has been useful to hear your process here in KL.
Thanks so much for this review. I have been contemplating to get the E92 320i, but seems like I need to find a reliable one (as they don't sell it in Premium Selection). Very good choice of buying from Premium Selection though. Bought my F20 118i in 2016 from them & had minimal issues, but all was covered. Recently traded it in for the G20 320i also from Premium Selection. Amazing choice for first time BMW buyers who wants a better peace of mind.
Hi , the car not really suitable for city driving as the gear selection always start with 2nd gear in D and you will feel sluggish when you need to pull off from traffic lights. And also the fuel consumption no that good in city drive, you will only get around 7-8km/litre. But if this car is your weekend car, then this is a very good choice especially when cruising along the highway which those 4 cylinders cannot match.
If you want to buy E90… better do check with owner that willing to sell with full service history… which you save you a lot in term of maintenance and user experience….
bro i wanna ask you a question, in your opinion about reliability and maintenance cost between e90 and e60, which one is better? im planned after i owned the bmw, i will spend 10k to change the wear and tear parts, is it enough? sorry im just newbie in acknowledging conti cars 😅😅
Hi, 10k is just to fix those issue that you can see. The maintenance route suppose need to keep continue while you own the car. And do some preventive maintenance too… For e90 and e60 both have their own issue … Cause both of them using different engine (N52 vs M54 etc.. depend on which year made of E60)… And also both of them are from different series (3vs5)…. Depend on which model you like and buy it for maintenance…. For me…Both are great cars….cheers👍
Hi Gunso5, the recall list will only come out after you key in your vehicle VIN number. And the recall part may not in full details until you visit them which this was what I have experienced. You may use below link to check or call them via 1800 88 3000. www.bmw.com.my/en/topics/bmw-owners/bmw-aftersales-services/technical-campaign.html
No brother I mean your car dosent have the light whatsoever like even when you turn the ignition on the light is supposed to appear . Then go away after start up you get what I’m saying
Hi MJ, would you be able to share your recommended workshop in servicing/repairing this variant of BMW engine? I recently purchased one but am wondering which workshop is reliable for service. Thanks!
