I think it’s funny that people think someone would lose the accent they were born with from going to America on the occasion. Like if anything check on the accents in LA, Toronto, Memphis and Wisconsin 😂
I remember I used to be a waitress at an American restaurant in Virginia and her song Chasing Pavements was my favourite song from the restaurant's playlist. It was in 2009, and I've always loved her since then.
I let it fall, my heart And as it fell, you rose to claim it It was dark, and I was over Until you kissed my lips and you saved me My hands, they were strong But my knees were far too weak To stand in your arms Without falling to your feet But there's a side to you That I never knew, never knew All the things you'd say They were never true, never true And the games you'd play You would always win, always win But I set fire to the rain Watched it pour as I touched your face Well, it burned while I cried 'Cause I heard it screaming out your name Your name When I lay with you I could stay there, close my eyes Feel you here forever You and me together, nothing gets better 'Cause there's a side to you That I never knew, never knew All the things you'd say They were never true, never true And the games you'd play You would always win, always win But I set fire to the rain Watched it pour as I touched your face Well, it burned while I cried 'Cause I heard it screaming out your name Your name I set fire to the rain And I threw us into the flames When we fell, something died 'Cause I knew that that was the last time The last time Sometimes I wake up by the door That heart you caught must be waiting for you Even now, when we're already over I can't help myself from looking for you I set fire to the rain Watched it pour as I touched your face Well, it burned while I cried 'Cause I heard it screaming out your name Your name I set fire to the rain And I threw us into the flames When we fell, something died 'Cause I knew that that was the last time The last time Oh, oh, no Let it burn Oh, oh, oh Let it burn Let it burn

Everybody loves the things you do From the way you talk To the way you move Everybody here is watching you 'Cause you feel like home You're like a dream come true But if by chance you're here alone Can I have a moment? Before I go? 'Cause I've been by myself all night long Hoping you're someone I used to know You look like a movie You sound like a song My God this reminds me, of when we were young Let me photograph you in this light In case it is the last time That we might be exactly like we were Before we realized We were scared of getting old It made us restless It was just like a movie It was just like a song I was so scared to face my fears Nobody told me that you'd be here And I'd swear you moved overseas That's what you said, when you left me You still look like a movie You still sound like a song My God, this reminds me, of when we were young Let me photograph you in this light In case it is the last time That we might be exactly like we were Before we realized We were sad of getting old It made us restless It was just like a movie It was just like a song When we were young (When we were young) When we were young (When we were young) It's hard to win me back Everything just takes me back To when you were there To when you were there And a part of me keeps holding on Just in case it hasn't gone I guess I still care Do you still care? It was just like a movie It was just like a song My God, this reminds me Of when we were young When we were young (When we were young) When we were young (When we were young) Let me photograph you in this light In case it is the last time That we might be exactly like we were Before we realized We were sad of getting old It made us restless Oh I'm so mad I'm getting old It makes me reckless It was just like a movie It was just like a song When we were young 🪐🫶🏼
