This game scenario is definitely a fun idea for people who want to play the game for fun, like a self contain board game. I hope we see more of this in the future.
Ayyy you’re from Montreal?? So am I haha my friend and I are huge card collectors and as someone just getting into lorcana your stuff has been a joy to watch!
I just received Scar and Mufasa enchanted cards today from the new shimmering skies set, neither have the grid pattern on the ink cost number or inside the lore symbol. Does anyone know if this is the case for all enchanted cards from the new set?
Hey there! I recently replied to a similar comment about that. It’s hard for us to give much data, because so far we only have Prince Naveen Enchanted to use as a comparison. BUT: based on Naveen (which I pulled from a booster box myself), I can confirm that its ink cost doesn’t have a grid pattern, nor it is foiled. However, when comparing to the new D23 Collection set, some of the new cards does, and some doesn’t. 🤷🏻♂️
I played glimmer vs glimmer and my opponent had a doubt. I banished a card that was “drying” and they argued that it should be a “ready” character. I argued that the card doesn’t have specific so it’s presumed that it’s any character on your board, no mater the state of it. Do you have any insight on this situation, or card?
You’re correct - any abilities/effects can target any character, dry or not (unless they have something which prevents it like Ward). So Glimmer vs Glimmer could be used on a character that was just played.
Omg congrats on all your luck! That’s so awesome. I did 3 boxes and 2 troves this weekend and my highest score was 56. It did hurt my heart a little that I didn’t get at least 1 enchanted but I guess it could be worse. Keep up the good work! Y’all are doing great!
56 is an amazing score too, especially if you didn’t pull an enchanted. Although sorry to hear you didn’t get one yet, I know it’s out there waiting for you somewhere 😊 And thank you so much, we really appreciate you for following us along on our Lorcana journey 🤩
There are a few different strategies from this deck, so l'd say start by seeing which you find nost interesting to play. From there, if you did buy a second starter decks, you could increase the quantities of those cards. For instance, I really like the Taffyta location synergy, but to nake it work l'd want to increase the counts to 4 each of her and the Library. And since I like the library, I'd consider adding more cards that synergise with it like Bruni and Gale. And since it's Amethyst l'd definitely add 4 copies of Friends on the Other Side since it's one of the best cards in the game still. But really it's just about finding your style and tweaking from there. And by the way, if you're on Discord, you can hop over to ours and we have a whole section to talk deck building
I would like to suggest a strategy for an Emerald/Amethyst team based on Prince John's Mirror. Put some cards in the deck that make the opponent draw or return cards to his hand, such as: Amethyst Chromicon, Donald Duck-Perfect Gentleman, Mother Knows Best, Perplexing Signposts...etc. Since Prince John's Mirror is the focus card of the Deck, if possible it is better to let it be the only discard card in the Deck.
G’day my guys, my Donald fan son is bonkers for the Donald Pie Slinger card so that play-mat would be perfect for him. I am assuming you custom made but any chance you can share the artwork? Or trademark issue? 😊
Trademark issue, unfortunately! We really just make these for personal use. But the artwork is available via the Ravensburger website in case you wanted to make your own 😊
Oh yes, the prices are completely all over the place (as it always is during release weekend). We use TCG Player prices for our videos, and always make sure to mention in the video to NEVER buy new cards during release weekend, but also if you are planning to sell it, that’s the best moment. That’s also the reason we decided not to do our usual BOX VALUE tracker, as it isn’t very realistic a week after release date. 😉
While I kinda agree about pre-sale markers, lorcana has a very quick decline as ravensberg recently has been over printing. Usually only a few cards keep a high price, unless you pull a enchanted. I which they did what Digimon and pokemon do with variable rarities; for example an enchanted in digimon is still hitting 200 and up regardless of set, which are chase, but there is still full art people can get that retain high prices.
Thank you for all the info you put into your videos, me and my family started playing for fun, but it is hard sometimes to understand the effects and how to make a deck. You guys make that easy, and hopefully, someday can be more competitive 😊
I want to say, that I love your content, and your personality that comes through is great. I really like pack openings, but I have a few issues with how you make this type of content. These are all personal issues, but you might like to consider it or have some voting about it on discord/yt members. I do not like these stingers at the beginning and the highlight for the enchanted pull. I know that it might bring in more views on specific parts of the video, but it spoils the fun. It might worth just uploading that moment on its own later. My biggest problem is, how you stop before revealing a legendary or enchanted card and just say it based on the number. As a viewer it takes away much of the excitment of the pull. All in all I enjoyed this video, box 3 was insame, I think there is just some space for improvement :) Some additional positivity at the end. I checked out your insta and started to follow it as well :)
Hey there! Thank you so much for the very honest and detailed feedback. We absolutely love when people take the time to share tips on how we could improve things in the content in general. This one in particular is a VERY TRICKY one, though. I’m trying to balance some of your points, to see if there’s a middle ground where we can experiment with some of these changes. For some context, one of our good references for content like this (box breaks) is PokeRev. We think that he’s brilliant when it comes to building suspense and excitement on his box breaks. I don’t particularly agree with all his approaches, but for the ones that we try replicating, we can see a huge increase in people’s interest and views. With RU-vid studio tools, we get to see on details the moments that our videos receives increases and drops, and when we finally introduced something such as the video openings hinting that a good card was incoming, and keeping the suspense, it really improved the data by A LOT! 😅 We noticed that many people want to feel ensured that the video will have that moment, and when this isn’t clear from the get-go, many would simply drop. One thing, however, that perhaps we could experiment with, is by completely removing the “enchanted” moment listed in the timestamp. Again, is something to experiment, as I know that all of this is very subjective and there’s some part of our audience that likes having control over this. Finally, regarding the card number and the guessing game between Charlie and I, a moment like is soooo special and we feel so excited when it happens, that the last thing I want to do is to remove this genuine moment when we try to guess what it is! Because this makes us happy. It’s our favourite part! And I think it’s truly part of the excitement for us! Hopefully not many people dislikes that (fingers crossed!), because I would hate to “lose” that, because of others. 😅 Hope that makes sense. We will keep iterating and experimenting with the format. And please keep sending us feedback of any type. We always take it very seriously and really appreciate it. Thanks for the comment.
Hello everyone. Im specifically a sports card collector. But i really like the artwork in these Disney cards. And im sure my nephew would love these and so I’m thinking of purchasing a box or two for him. But also, are these collectible? Does anyone grade this type of cards? Or mainly for playing?
For me this set is so amazing. I opened a case myself and was able to pull 21 legendary cards and 1 enchanted Scar. 1 box had 7 legendary cards in. Love watching your videos
Thank you so much! 🥹 We were a bit hesitant to be so “open” on the channel at first, but we’ve had nothing but wholesome, positive comments like this. It really warms our hearts 🌈
