Hell yeah! I play uim did guthans grind as not long after my 99 fm grind. Took me about 850 kc to get my plate body. You can buy a cut ruby in ardy from gem shop btw great way for digsite pends for bird house runs! Also when i did mine with no p pots or barrows tele i did D, K, A, and face tanked the rest and just went brim to buy food after each run as you can safe spot the other brothers in cave in multiple spots. Excited to see next vid
99fm must have been brutal. I’m gonna do that once the other skills are higher for the resources. I searched for uncut ruby, forgot about cut ones lol. Let’s just say I’m glad I got the teleport lol. Plus I began at a pretty low level so I’d be face tanking all the way to lumby haha
alright the staff plz don't wear magic gear with it, it is a tanking staff that scales off ur magic level. so u can wear heavy def gear with using the staff.
You will NOT regret Guthan on uim. There were 3 real choices but now only 2 and really only 1. Ahrim was and is still very good for Zulrah but then they made the Perilous moon mage gear storeable in a stash, plus infinity robe much easier to get, plus bloodbark existing etc all that stuff is storeable in stashes or POH. Ahrim is storeable too but the stash can be used for other gear meaning you really are not lacking in storeable mage gear for uim. You are however lacking in melee or even ranged gear for uims that is easy to store. For ranged you will need good luck in getting full blessed d hide from hard clues IMO this will take a very long time and forget about getting masori this is endgame shit right there. I do not think however getting Karils is really worth it when you can just make regular black d hide in a pinch with high enough crafting. The new ranged perilous moon shit is out of question due to how stupidly hard the munition is to get (plus you cannot store it) I think mixed hide is pretty good too. A lot of uim also dedicate permanent inventory spots to crystal armors. This leave you with melee shit once again unless you plan on getting gang rekt by Graardor you will NOT be swimming in competent melee gear. So forget about bandos and torva and raids shit like justiciar. You can have decent obsidian and proselyte armor that is storeable and if you need slighlty more defense the rockshell armour takes a while but is definitely worth it to make just because it is storeable.But this is definitely there you need more gear so either Guthan or Dharok is best choice for stash and Guthan definitely wins in utility over Dharok. I mean the only place Dharok dominates is mole and this is not exactly hard content anything works there. NMZ Dharok is not even afk and really pointless. You can meme kills at Perilous moon with Dharok but IMO Guthan is GOAT in comparison with rest of barrows gear in pretty much all situations.
Good insight … I was thinking about bandos and give it a try one day. The current check list I’m thinking of is bandos, crystal and mystics with trident. I haven’t tried perilous moon content just yet so no idea how that will be like.

No worries man. It’s mostly because of the lack of time, plus I’m not that good yet. Maybe once in confident of making better videos I’ll do that, but right now it would totally sting if I made a 10 min long video and no one watched
I personally wouldn't do barrows on a UIM until you have Morty Hard done, along with some sort of rejuvenation pool. 50% more runes + never running out of prayer/stam. Ahrims is weak to Ranged not Melee, 0 ranged defense VS 85/103 slash/stab defense. Bring a ranged swap if you want to kill Ahrim quickly. You only want DDS for Karils and preferably only one time for the "Just Like That" CA, if you don't have a better spec weapon.
I trained magic by afk safe spot fire strike during slayer, do MTA once you have enough for the armour case too. Gained a couple levels with gauntlet grind too and barrows as you said quite good for magic training. If I had to redo it all I would DEFINITELY use the cheese for kraken task once high level. Literally afk you attack the boss tornado and you get full xp with full afk.
I waited until I could build master stash for full barrows personally. The old meta used to be Dharok and Ahrims to store. Dharok for mole or Ahrim for Zulrah + Maging. But nowadays you can store so many different mage outfits including the blue moon in a stash plus mole get shredded by so many other things. I personally wanted either Dharok of Guthan but got Guthan first and ended up keeping it and IMO it is the most useful due to the healing stuff. Good for a lot of things definitely the best of the bunch. Also due to the new update use air spells for barrows they are weak to it and it fucks them up.
Dang 88 construction would be a long grind. I plan to use full guthan for quite a long time (slayer till trident, gwd, dks) and might switch to void for cox. I really like the idea of doing cox on a UIM (I’m still green on a UIM) and I think this is where we’re headed but gosh darn this is just too much fun
Guthan's isn't the best option on a UIM unless you’re into AFK low-level content like Gargoyles for noted steel bars. Ahrim's has never really been recommended for UIM due to it's significant weight (nearly 12kg for the skirt alone) and insignificant performance. However, with the recent magic rebalance, Ahrim's has become more viable for mid-level UIM since it now provides a damage bonus. Dharoks, on the other hand, remains the meta choice for stashing. Its utility at Mole for end-game brew supply on a UIM is unparalleled, and it excels in other areas like shredding Vardorvis, where Guthan's is only useful in situations like Moons of Peril. Dharok's also offers better XP/hour than Guthan's at NMZ and significantly speeds up certain Slayer tasks with its one-hit potential. I use the set all the time on my UIM. There is also a Hydra GM Combat Achievement "No Pressure" that is dramatically easier with full Dharok's compared to just using the great axe. You wouldn’t want to return to Barrows during your end-game UIM grind just to get Dharok’s great axe without the full armor set to benefit from the set effect while fighting Hydra @ < 10hp the entire time. I know a lot of people don't plan on going that far into the game but that is one of the main reasons behind the stash of Dharoks. UIM is all about future planning. There is nothing really to achieve in the future by storing Guthan's on a UIM.
I really appreciate this guide! All the other melee hand guides use a 4 tick weapon, but my BiS right now is Fang, so I was looking for a method that would work with a 5 tick weapon. Well explained! Thanks a ton

It just seems like there was too much time between your first episode about Wt and then the last episode. I think people do like the long types of videos that you make as it shows more progress, but if I could recommend something, it's to just make the videos more organized. Anyway, Im sure next season after the grand finale you will get it down!! :D

Honestly i made myself a promise on my hcim that fm would always stay my lowest skill ( not including combat skills) making my lootcrates way more valuable and i look forward to my fm trips.
Probably the most efficient use of the crates in terms of overall rewards! However I also found the supplies from the crates made early game skilling a lot easier though
Hey, I've never watched your content before this, but I really liked the commentary! I would say, that you should properly stretch ur screen recording out, and perhaps use fixed screen, youtubes algo doesnt recommend it a lot otherwise

Ironman PSA, you don't need the tome for anything so don't worry about it unless for completion purposes. The rune saving is negligible, prayer book is a better off-hand for ibans, d-hide shield should work better for kraken and ice-demon has other great option as well. it's only better than iban's if you happen to have a stack of wrath runes rotting away at your bank to cast fire surge, and only before trident.
@@ElydersOSRS I can't even really think of a mid game use, iban blast becomes available at the same magic level and is already stronger. I have tried using fire bolt with chaos gauntlets and the tome but that only maxes a 22. There's maybe couple spots where you can save an inv spot or a few runes like at guardians of the rift before lantern, or alching while casting iban blast against rex, but I wouldn't call that exactly a boost in power. Cool uses though!
@@selkokieli843 oh I meant literal stat boost. Early game magic attack bonus is pretty hard to come by other than blue or red robes. The next one up is xerician from lizard men and the location with the fact they’re poisonous makes it quite annoying to get. So the simplest mage boost set is +7 (blue hat, blue top, red bottoms) the tome of fire is a +8, literally doubling the bonus
@@ElydersOSRSfair enough! I can't think of many spots you'd really want +8 mage over +5 prayer but at least zulrah comes to mind. I'd love to hear more though. Book of the dead also gives +6 mage +3 pray btw in case no tome or already using thralls and can use the inv slot.
Well said, I never went 99 here because well, I got bored of course, but also realised I'm not going to max anyway and have no particular desire for that skillcape. I'll come back later with hp cape, regen bracelet and healing pool in the house if I change my mind. Now I'm planning to do just that to finish shades of morton log.
