I also recently reread the series! I first read it at 22, now at 34, and yeah I'm sitting here like sobbing over these babies killing each other. It really is much more violent than I remember, and it's...intense! Katniss is much more the unwilling heroine than I recall, too. Not interested in love, barely interested in life, kind of a b!tch, honestly pretty relatable. Book 1 is my fave, I was PISSED about the end of 3, and the prequel was really creepy and I loved it.
Loved the video as always! I also read Tress this year, and was absolutely feral over it. Cozy pirates just really does it for me. I’m so excited for both Murderbot and Sula!
i think i can for sure say that i originally came here by accident. but your content is so good i think i have found my favourite youtube channel. (also i think i worded that horribly. i'm trying to say your content is amazing and you're my new favourite youtuber.)
this is ripstick from pocket pals (howdy) and i just wanna say i love this video idea, a book on the bottom of my "first added to my tbr" pile is bazaar of bad dreams by stephen king lmfaooooooo
@@fi_reads_books no problem!! also two great books that might be a bit outside your normal books are "goodbye, eri" and "uzumaki" (they are my two favourite books, because of their interesting stories)
@@fi_reads_books Just a little warning, Uzumaki can be a bit bloody. if you want something less bloody by the same author I would recommend "Junji Ito's Cat Diary: Yon and Mu" since it is about him and his wife adopting cats and buying a house. but if you want a short story (exactly 30 pages) to show his work, i would recommend "The Enigma of Amigara Fault" (the suspense is so good) which is also kinda blood but still very fun.
or if you have netflix and would rather watch a show, he does have one of those! unfortunately i think it only really shows off his creativity, not really his great story telling.
The milzbe shiiiiiiiiiirt 💛 Also, just generally, are we clones, platonic soulmates, or long-lost twins? Anyways, love the video, as always! (Also hit me up if you need some Jane Austen hype or convos--she's my GIRL)
Yeeess I love milzbe!! Also we’re definitely at least one of those things! 💖 I will definitely take you up on that Jane Austen offer- which one do you think I should read first?
Romeo and Juliet is 100% supposed to be a tragedy because none of it needed to happen. Part of that being that they were kids who didn't know what they were doing at all. So you ain't wrong xD
this is so fun! I joined Goodreads at the end of 2019 so I only have 6 books left that I added to my tbr from that year: Gone Girl, Kindred, High Achiever, Queenie, How we fight for our lives, and Know My Name! 3 are also on my physical tbr so I think I could reasonably do this 👀
Wowow yo lookit all those tabs in twin cities! What makes you typically wanna throw a sticky in a book? Also a book that's been on my TBR that I haven't really gotten around to is The Left Hand of Justice. I've wanted to get into LeGuin for a while especially with her being my hometown queen but I haven't been really reading any fiction books at all 😅 I'll probably try to run through it over my summer break.
Hey!! :)) Honestly I mostly tab based on vibes haha, sometimes something just sticks with me & i want to remember it/flip back to it! Sometimes it's something that made me laugh. It kinda depends! Oooh I love LeGuin but I haven't read that one yet! Maybe we could do a little book club moment this summer!
Hey friends! Thanks to everyone who voted on my poll asking which video you'd want to see first. I wound up getting this one done first, so here it is! The other video that y'all voted for will be up soon. 🥰
I have almost the exact same taste in books as you!! I'm so curious to watch more from you and get some good recs -- I'm so glad to have stumbled across your channel 😊I loved to see Foundryside and Peter and the Starcatchers on your shelves. Also enjoyed the background music, is one of the tracks from Stardew Valley? ⭐
Omg yay that’s so cool! Thank you! 🥰 those series are both so good- I might be due for a Peter and the Starcatchers reread at some point soon. And yes, it is! I love Stardew 💕
This was really fun to watch! I love how beat-up and well-loved so many of your books seem, they have been loved to death. Also, definitely stealing the bookmark mug
ahh! so happy i came across your video! i also really loved the book thief!! i’m still watching but really enjoying this vid, thanks for sharing your collection 🫶🏼
So glad to have found your channel! Both our reading and decor tastes are eerily similar. I feel like I can take your book recommendations to heart, whereas with other Booktubers I have to take them with a grain of salt because our sensibilities might not be the same. So many of these books I have read and loved, or are already on my TBR! Looking forward to seeing your book collection grow and to more of your content.
Some of these are well known, but others were new to me {perhaps entered to my future TBR list}. The cover for divergent looks great. Watching this only now, I wonder if you have made a similar one for 23. Do you have a Goodreads account to follow? I hope you have a great reading year. One of my favorite books is The lovely bones by Alice Sebold, perhaps consider giving it a try.
That’s awesome you were able to spread your books out a bit more. This was a great video, I saw a lot of books I have and a lot of books I want to read! I also have a little princess from my childhood that I haven’t read yet. I loved the sims/animal crossing music you used too 💗
Oooh you describing the magic system of Foundryside was so interesting! I have so far only heard this book described as a heist novel, but this magic system sound fascinating. I reeeally gotta check it out soon. And then This Was Our Pact too! I tried ordering it a while ago, but it was cancelled because there were printing issues, I think? It was weird, but I need to try again! It was lovely to listen to you talk (and also I loved the Sims music in the background hehehe)!!
Thank you so much!! :)) I was wondering if anyone would notice the sims music hehe. I've been on a mission to get more people to read Foundryside! It's such a unique take on a heist novel in my opinion. And oh no, that's super weird!! I hope you have better luck on the second try!!
I had a very similar experience with perks of being a wallflower. Found it extremely relatable but it was way too relatable at times for me to truly enjoy the experience of reading it lol. Also this was our pact sounded way too magical to not order instantly 😶🌫️
You are doing great reading in April 🙂👍, I have just read three in April whereas I usually read lot more , Its just been ridonkulously busy for me of late . Thank you for sharing your reads with us and what you enjoyed about them !
Probably attending PSU next fall as an international student, i think they suggested that I should stay in Odine and found this video super helpful! Thank you so much?
Bit of a late comment but I'm leaving it for the next art history student that notices the background music from khan academy and looks to the comments for verification
Hi! I am thinking about coming to PSU for nursing in the fall! I live in North Carolina, but I’m looking for a College with a good place to hike! Do students at Portland usually go on excursions and do you know anything about how good the nursing program is? Sorry for all the questions lol! Thank you
