This channel is for Slot Car enthusiasts anywhere that are interested in Australian vehicles.
Being focused on Australian vehicles, it will mostly feature Scalextric as they are at the moment the largest Slot Car manufacturer that produces Australian vehicles.
Other manufacturers have made the odd Australian vehicle such as Ninco, so you never know what will turn up.
I also like the odd international vehicle such as the Dodge Charger featured in the Dukes Of Hazzard.
There will be reviews of the vehicles produced and retail outlets and facilities at which to race and it will be possible to even purchase or if you are looking for a particular item and you can't find it you can email me at the below email address and i'll try and find it for you.
I can even modify your car for you. Just contact me via email aussieslotcar@gmail.com

Thank you for the tour of this store with its awesome slot car section! I have absolutely nowhere near me here in the United States that has any sort of slot car selection like that.
@@All-ScaleSlotCars I have the same issue. This place is 479 kilometres from my house. In the next State. Closest is 320 kilometres away in my State Capital. The local (30 kilometres) Toy Store gave up on Slot Cars years ago due to wholesale price increases and a lack of sales, I used to support them but the price difference was too much for me to justify
I, buy what I can at Toyworld , new classic slot cars , Scalextric , I be , there next few weeks , so , I get what I , when able too so , I got make up lost time now so ,
I, suppose get a set as good as yours depends on health now , because , I, be 55 in July 2024 , and, I got bad heart disease , so that sad for me so , I get what I can afford , I was a fool , let my set go , so , without my health , it be impossible , I may not be here , so even the Rovers and escorts hard to get , some people so smart , its never forsale , I service all my cars so a reco car I think just as good as a not used set you have there so , I actually made other Rover 3500 v8s into DJ cars , fair enough they have holes in roofs where lights were but that as best I could do so , I , did a Peter Brock mobil Rover too , so got do a Marlboro Rover early 1 too , so use white paint pen blot out whats on there and rewrite sponsors , and colours and that be as best as possible , so , the cars as new or not used sets so like gold in a haystack , so I do my best my budget too , I hope my health improves so as to enjoy rest years my life but 11days to hospital tomorr , am not so sure , so , after heart scan Hospital know how bad am blocked up and plaque my arteries not enough blood goes through so , I am scared so , I know a community to leave as a gift all my slot car stuff so be in my memory so , I decided , this long time when am ready pass it on , so my both layouts , the lot , so I hope get lucky one day or year hope not the end so , what you have there a gem so , I hope have some years left , that all my hope is , glad got into it late 40s , for me , I can tell you a big collector so , I may not have as much but I do , did my best , so liked you video
This set , in new condition be so rare , , I had a set in 1990 s which I owned Bathurst set as a 13 yr old , it , was secondhand when given back to me , sadly few months later gave away Salvation Army , and set from tip shop sierra set , so , I got cars later , I thought a reco cars as good as new , so I did this so , I use my cars now in my hobby , so , just not sit there , so I thought why buy a set or cars if not used , so I use my lot so am a collector myself , so , I be lucky 1, day, pays know too what they worth , too best condition as possible , hard when vintage , so , Ive done my best , work on my own cars so am glad so , I keep eyes out on ebay so for good prices , Im thankful be in hobby , changed my life , this on my bucket list so , I be lucky 1 day or year , still young enough , so , I do my best budget I have so , simple as that so , none my stuff for sale , so , am glad , so may I enjoy it so , take care , liked your video , I be lucky 1, day or year so , 😊
It makes you think🤔 we have a great network of hobby stores here in Australia and their hands are tied by a few major distributors who hold them to ransom..😮
No it's Scalextric Track. Yes the borders appear to be made of wood. They're very annoying because they're a few millimetres lower than the track and this your car falls off more often than it would if they used Scalextric borders
10 Dollars Australian sounds really cheap to have all day access to that facility with those track ,I just surprised they haven't got at least one track with a decent straight 🙂Greetings from Northern Europe 🤗...Harry
@aussieslotcar When I owned Slot Shop here in Sydney, we charged $5 for 30 minutes, and based on the real estate cost, it cost us money to do so. That's a large room, plus track costs, plus power, air-conditioning etc. Sorry if it sounds harsh, but go build an extension on your house to do the same and see what it costs... Personally, I would have been expecting a price rise and I wouldn't have a problem paying way more than $10 day for day access. Anyway, you're very lucky to have that available to you. All the best Roland
Problem is that none of the tracks are maintained. Some of the lanes can't be used at all and this visit the track with the lap counters was glitching really bad The prices of their items covers everything. $110 for most Scalextric @@Roland_Rohrle
Obviously a Holden fan! The hardtop falcon where the toughest cars getting around at the time! Torana was overrated Gemini/ camira looking heap of crap! With a v8 giving it a power to weight advantage
@@skimalibu6287 I was really disappointed with the Red Pepper XB road car and the Victoria Police car too I would have loved to buy them but I'm not paying for rubbish
So cool and did you say this generals engine turns at 19,000 Rpm could you imagine a real general turning those rpm’s. Talking about a wicked street car I hope Bo and luke can keep in the road 😂😂😂😂. Cool video I’m setting up a deal now on one new in package
I'm curious, all those framed photos on the wall... do you remember if that was racing memorabilia or maybe shots of the staff and regular customers? Oh hey! I hear beatles 😀, this must be the video you mentioned. When I was a little girl, the boy across the street serenaded me with I Want To Hold Your Hand by setting his speaker in his bedroom window and blaring it toward my bedroom window. It was adorable.
I did look at them the first time we went there but that was some time before this. I'm most disappointed with myself for not doing a full look around video but RU-vid wasn't much of a consideration in the early years because I only started uploading videos in September 2016 and this is about a year later. I started this channel in 2020. I wasn't able to get to Adelaide due to injuring my right arm and nearly having it permanently paralysed. Which still gives me constant pain four years later
@@aussieslotcar Ah, well, hindsight is always 20/20. Do you mind my asking what happened to your arm? I'm glad you didn't lose functionality. Sorry it pains you.
@@aussieslotcar That does sound painful. My left shoulder is wonky due to multiple dislocations, bursitis and a bone spur. They can do surgery for the bone spur, but I could end up worse off for it, so I declined. I damaged vertebrae in one of the accidents that dislocated the shoulder too. It didn't really bother me too much till I got older.
Yes, it was excellent and it is a crying shame it's gone. It was a great place to go. The owners make resin static and slot car kits still today, they're called The Parts Box. I can highly recommend them, the castings are excellent.
I'm disappointed with myself for not having done a walk around and recording all the tracks and the entirety of the premises but this was only a year after I started uploading to RU-vid and I wasn't as focused on creating content as I am now
Yes, I'm very disappointed that this place no longer exists but when I was talking to the former proprietors at the Mega Toy Fair in June they're not. They were losing money and had enough of running the place
Not my track. It's one of the tracks at a Hobby shop in the South Australian suburb of Melrose Park. It costs $5 to use it for as long as the shop is open
This was his first comment:- Graham Gordon "You might consider having the car out of the box next time so we can have a look at it i would have thought that most enthusiasts would be far more interested in the car rather than the box it came in and the process of opening it. Pretty disapointing really" I responded explaining that I bought it never intended to open it. I then received the response in the description. I immediately chose to hide his channel from mine and deleted his comment. Then I remembered I seen the Visy brand somewhere and figured well let's give what he wants
@@aussieslotcar what Mr Gordon doesn't understand is that people absolutely love unboxing videos because it gives them the same endorphins at opening a birthday present themselves. An unboxing is a vicarious birthday :D
@@slotr he also doesn't get to decide what I do with the items I'm collecting. I have a couple of hundred slot cars I've never opened and never intended to. If I want one to use I buy two and then I'll do a video with it coming fully opened and put my greasy fingerprints all over it. My channel is about what an average Slot Car enthusiast is doing and what someone else is able to do or acquire. There are too many Slot Car channels that are all about the newest cars and trying to be the first to inform the market. Of course I watch those videos but usually the creator is getting the cars for free, so they're well removed from someone like myself that has hardly any money
You are completely right about Scalextric parts. It’s very very wrong. I really want an A9X Torana replacement chassis but not here in Oz. We are so very lucky in Newcastle to have Mike at Show Us Ya Slots, track and parts. He is unbelievably helpful and his prices are excellent
That's because we've both had some practice at this track and have the hairpin fairly under control. It's the faster bends that you come unstuck because you're trying to go faster to make time and then physics takes over
Yes, all on the same day. No this is a long way from home. I'm in Adelaide atm, 600 kilometres from home. It's also a fair way from where I'm staying while here
The guy around the corner was also from the front you showed on the corner table. I was opposite on my Mitsubishi model table. Sitting on my walker with the face mask. I’m not healthy but I made it.
@@aussieslotcar no the guy standing with his hands together I’m not sure if related or what but he stood like that the whole weekend. Not sure if he was doing security or anything but he hardly moved.
You're the only table holder to have made a comment. No one else has published any videos yet from this year and the guy that has the most Mega Toy Fair videos went to the comic thing next door so he didn't make a video
@@aussieslotcar all good mate. For all the years of going it’s the first time I even had someone that close. And funny I remember watching you filming.
