I'm 75 now and already commented on this incredible song before probably. It's such a magic song, just see Donovan sitting there watching out in the bay, stoned, and writing this great song. 👍
This before my time being born in '61. However I saw savoy brown and kim simmons about 5 years ago in a little place in st charles Ill.. They played this... It was great..
I bought all of his albums as they came out and still listen to him today . All I can say is I am happy I grew up when the music of the 50's,60's and 70's was being created it truly was an amazing time to be part of.
Whoever mic'ed 🎤 the percussions for this song deserved a Grammy but all they got in 1969 was a small group of us Hippies who were very dedicated to this album as the future. We were into jazz back then but we didn't know it yet...Jack
Esta melodia es única. Es como un cuchillo que se clava en un corazón dolorido. Y el dolor va incrementandose a medida que se suceden los compases. Al final parece que por fin se libera el corazón dejando de latir. Peter Green, grande entre los grandes!! ❤
Was reading trivia on this song and learned that the singer wrote it for his wife hoping they'd get back together. While his little girl Jean did dance, the wife said *_"Now that you got a hit you can afford alimony and child support."_*
Love this recording, the Animals were really at their best when the organ, lead guitar and Eric's voice melded together. The house of the rising sun, was the best example but to me this comes a close second - sublime!
We really miss you Melanie......thank you for all the wonderful songs you brought us......some happy, some made us think, some sad......you meant so much to us all....
L'échange des guitares au milieu de la chanson entre Andy Summers (On 1st & 2nd Guitar -Police) et John Weider est tout simplement un moment d'ANTHOLOGIE !!!!!!!! Sans oublier la voix de Burdon et le piano...
Probably the best song Lennon and McCartney never written. A beautiful, melodic track with a real feel of Summer and it should have been a double A side to From A Window.
