to those asking about the airplanes: this is Renton stadium (aka DCI seattle) Boeing owns a plane factory there, and just also built a football field (and more).
Just saw the show for the first time- Ogden.. thank you Troopers- you have restored my interest in dci.... blistering intensity--//...enjoy the ride!!!!
Book seems to be a little easier than last year. I wonder how many people left for SCV this year as I think Troop got a surplus of talent last year because of that. This line sounds great however, and the tuning+clarity=great sound and musicality.
Troopers line lost a few in the tenor line to SCV this year.... I'm not mad at em. That said I crave the day when TROOPERS is the final destination! Fred Sanford started out for the Troopers
Just found this - freshman at Garfield and we got to play it this year for the basketball and they are doing really good. One question, were you the old conductor before Jarred Sessink? I know Clarence Acox left like 10 years ago so I was just wondering. Also this is really good
Yes, I was the band director after Acox. I was there for 11 years. However, Acox did jazz band while I was doing Band and Drumline. Acox didn't leave ten years ago. He was pushed out unknowingly about 5 years ago. The year after I left ghs to be exact. Glad to hear the band is playing Conga again.
