Daou (dow) Pessimist Red Blend is the only wine you need to know about. It's about $22 a bottle and it's superb. They might have better or worse wines but you can't go wrong with Pessimist.
Hello! Many thanks for your vidéo and article in the Huffington Post. I’ve been doing it for 5 years in French with my wine expert colleague, and we were asked to do it in English last week for a big French jewelry brand, so I discovered your work. I would love to be in touch with you and maybe conduct some experiments together? Cheers in any case, Yours, Adrien
I usually buy wine that doesn't cost more than $10 a bottle so the box wine to me is even more economical. I just purchased a box of Black Box Sauvignon Blanc. Will try it after it has had time to chill in my fridge
Let me know how you like it! I've tried only three at this point, but Black Box was head and shoulders above the others. Very tart, and just richer than the others, which were very thin and/or a bit stinky. I think "stinky" is an underused word in the world of wine.
Do-wow…beautiful property. Overpriced and average wines. Save your $$. Cass is great though. You really need to head deeper west and hit Tablas Creek and Thatcher. Perfect blend of beautiful scenery and fabulous wines.
Thanks, Michael. I should report that they don't open until 5 most days, and only 11 to 3 for brunch on weekends, reopening 5 p.m. Long way to say: It works as a daytime diveaway only midday weekends.
