How do u know if ur hitting power band or not? I just started riding dirt bikes on my yz 125 got to 3rd gear 37h was my highest didnt seem to hit powerband because people say it hits hard

i got the same problem but i have power in high rpms. just when i open up fully it bogs and crazy to say my cr 125 2001 has back fired and the only time it does that is when it’s warm. runs good when it’s cold opens right up but once it gets warm it doesn’t even wanna run right constantly bogging every gear
Did you adjust your idle and air screw while the bike was cold?if it was properly tuned while the engine is warm I’d consider getting a smaller pilot jet. As long as your air ways are secure no blockage and reeds are in good shape it’s probably jetting to high, especially if your riding trails and not wot all the time.

I was there last week and was working on the same step up on my cr125. I was hitting it 2nd gear pinned and it helped if I hit the berm in 3rd and I slipped the clutch as I was coming out and I found that it set me up with just right amount of speed for the step up
I have a 1995 kdx 200 and it WILL NOT WHEELIE in 3rd ive tried, even trying a clutch up wont get the wheel off the ground. U could give it gas in first and the wheel wont come up unless u pull up on the bars, right now a 2nd gear clutch up is all I can do.
Im seeing all these other kdx’s do power wheelies in 3rd and i want to know why. My bike runs great, makes a good amount of power, shes a little boggy at the top when going through the gears
2 Stroker Smoker I was there this weekend on my cr125 and my tires just were not hooking up on the first main hill as soon as you enter the track but other than that it was great but not as many jumps as previous years but the corners were better that previous years. I like it more this year than last.
Bro, consider going back to 22” rear tires. The small (looks like 20”) rear tires lower the top speed >10%. I had a ytm175 in the 90s it was faster that my 85 Atc200x. Good Trikes. Literally run Forever. I STILL have a 1986 225dr that My brothers and I got for Christmas in 1985. Been passed around over the years but, Has never had a single issue.
I wish it was open Thurs and Friday like in the Spring..I would've been there once a week. I can't do weekends. Bummer man. Keep up the good work though.
