HI there! So happy you've found us. We're a Florida family - Vince (dad), Lisa (mom), Julian (son) and Grayce (daughter) that are together ... alot. We homeschool our kiddos and have found many of our lessons of learning come from being in the kitchen. Both the kids love to cook and bake daily! We love adventuring outdoors (mostly to the beach!) and discovering more of Florida we haven't seen yet. Come along with us as we give you a look into what a homeschooling family looks like in the everyday.

I was just searching your page a couple of days ago looking for a new video! So glad you're back! We are also in a season of lots going on. I know God's plan is much bigger than ours, but I'm not liking these growing pains. We also started a co-op this year. Parents have to volunteer and I am not a fan. 😆 Luckily, I am more of an assistant rather than the main teacher. My kids have loved it, so I guess that's worth it, right? 😂

Oh wow - I’m in good company then with having a full plate. I keep telling myself it’s just a season and soon enough things will slow down. Dah! Lucky you - I wouldn’t mind being the assistant at all 😅 Being the lead teacher even 3x though is just not my jam. Glad to hear yours is working out well for you guys so far!

If your looking for something easier for language arts we do easy grammar for grammar and then we use Evan moor for reading comprehension. I have heard that good and beautiful can be a lot. The readers are good

Thanks for the tip. It has for sure been a lot - we actually switched to something else after just 2 months of using it. I'm going to do a video on what we switched to, but I'll definitely keep that Easy Grammar in mind in case it doesn't work out.

When you say things happened in the public schools that you weren't happy about... know that millions of other parents in the U.S. (and probably in other countries too) feel the exact same way right now. I'm not a mother (hoping to become one, though), but my sister's kids are in public schools and I worry terribly for them for a long list of reasons. I think public schools poisoned her oldest son who is now 21. I went to public schools myself but I graduated in 2007 and things weren't quite as bad back then. It was rough, but survivable. I know there are good teachers, principals and other school staff out there and I feel bad for them, too, for what they have to deal with in their schools now.
@WeepingWillow422
@WeepingWillow422 Год назад
@@andersonseveryday Oh yes I've heard things about private schools, too, but I think public schools tend to be worse. I don't want to go into details, but my oldest nephew (the one I mentioned) is living a very ungodly lifestyle and I believe public schooling is part of what did that to him. Probably not the only reason, but a good chunk of it I believe. They teach so many things contrary to the bible in public schools and it's only getting worse over time. Some of it was there in the early 2000s when I was in school but it was more subtle then and it was more suggested than shoved in your face like it is now. And safety in schools is problem now, too with all of these shootings, bullying and kids killing each other. It's sickening.

What do your kids listen to their audio books or podcast on while they are doing chores? My 7 year old has a tablet but it would be hard to carry it around while he is doing chores.

Mostly audiobooks :) We use the Libby app or Hoopla through our library. I should say - they have wireless headphones so it works well.
