That's right about the pack on until the battery dies. We don't recommend to leave it until that point as the battery lifespan could be shortened. You can't power down the pack with the wand if you have this mod, just with the main pack switch.

Is the existing 28-segment bargraph that's sold as part of the GPStar kits RGB and different colors like this will be added as options? Or will there be a future RGB version that changes colors with the alternate firing modes? Or neither...in googling rgb led bar graph...doesn't seem like that's really a thing...
We haven't found an RGB bargraph yet, but we are selling this one that is Blue only. It can be used in the Attenuator, as Adam Savage used blue LEDs in that section, or in your GPStar wand kit, if you want to have another wand with a special bargraph.

These are usually individual led's on the back. 2.7v drop for blue so at least around 3v. Limit current with resistor or active limiter if voltage is higher.
Do you mean each individual LED or the whole bargraph? We sell two options: the one for the Hasbro Neutrona Wand that will need connecting to the main board inside the wand. And the second option we can program so you only connect directly to a battery and it will do the bouncing sequence, and the firing sequence if you connect the switch. Is any of those two options what you want?

Ok so for my pack, i dont have any wiring connecting the wand to the pack (i found it to be more of a hassle than what its worth), i just use the battery thing that came with the wand and i have a tube connecting them with nothing inside it. Doing this means i no longer have the male purple connector, will this still work without it?
Yes, that is correct, to change colours you need the both gpstar boards: the one for the pack and the one for the wand. To use it in red only, the wand board is not required.
But it only keeps the pack alive in therms that it never turns off right ? I‘m searching for a mod that let me turn on the pack through the wand all the time
Oi! Looks great!! What power were you running? D batteries or a usb talent cell? Also you wand doesn’t do the voltage drop when it turns on.. have you modded your wand?
