So happy to find this I was washing weekly and my 4c hair and scalp are not happy with it. I’m itchy and tight. I will wash once a month. Thank you for saying what I needed to hear. “Wash less! Watch less” 😂😂😂😂😂❤
Itchy scalp is the worst! I recommend our Rose water Revitalizing Spray. It contains organic rose hydrosol as well as peppermint which will help to relieve the itching. See here: mylocksjourney.com/shop
sadly i have to wash my hair often because of seb derm. im 6 months in though and so far so good i think. i will be interlocking my hair as well bc there is a lot of new growth (6 months worth) and well it not locking LOL so my hair doesn't look to good. but maybe that's normal since im still technically in the starter stage
Congrats on starting your locks journey!🎉 6 months in is still considered the beginner stage. It’ll take at least a year before your locs settle and mature so just be patient🙏🏽☺️
I think it depends on your hair type. If you have really fine hair that unravels easily then the little bit of water from your shower may be detrimental. However, if you don't have fine hair, this is a great way to add moisture. Once you don't drench your locs when you shower, they should be fine. These dos and don'ts are my general loc rules, see here for advice specific to starter locs: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DOkDQ4WcOVA.html
I’m sorry that it went too fast. See here for a slower video that explains what I’m doing: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-X_7T6uYOQOU.htmlsi=frLSNgjn4KR8YVj_
You're kitty is TOO cute wanting to know what Mum's doing? 😻 I have (3). I couldn't for the love of me imagine retieing 374 locs! 😳🤯 I have about 104 & that's more than enough! Since I have Fibromyalgia I made the decision to choose the size I did because😢 I knew I'd be doing my own hair when my health permits. Your hair's really lovely!!🥰❤🎉😊
He’s always in my business. You must have your hands full with 3 troublemakers😆 And my heart goes out to you. Retightening locs is tough even with full heath so I can’t even imagine🧡
@@MyLocksJourney I'm 😭😭😭 that's so TRUE especially with my youngest kitten Pynches who just turned one year on 04/15/23. She's literally my shadow . 🤦🏽♀️ Yes I have Fibromyalgia w/ Hypermobility Syndrome.. so it's a bit more EXTRA! Which is why I thank God for my staple & dependable go to headwraps I really ❤️THEM. They're almost ALWAYS a lifesaver on countless occasions. I'm really curious to know if you wear your hair in any intricate styles or updos, maybe lobster rolls, or similar styles? If you do, can you or do you style your hair yourself??
@@TankaVizion2 No I’m too lazy for intricate styles lol. I’ve found a lot of simple styles, which I show on the website. They look good, are easy to do and don’t take too much time. I got locs because I was tired of doing my hair so I avoid styling like the plague.
I actually just counted mine. I have about (😆) 280. I realise that some are merged together as my hair is thinning …. so the merged ones I counted as 1. I thought I had over 300 so I’m surprised that I have so much less than 300 even though I do have a small head 🤩😀🤩. Whew!!!!
Thanks so much for those tips. I do have thinning hair and edges, and my go-to style is usually a messy top bun. I will now try to wear my hair down more often to minimize the pulling pressure that comes with wearing my hair in a bun…. along with practicing the other tips. Thanks again.
