In 1992 it was still pretty rare to have Sky. It only launched in ‘89/‘90. I had to go round my Auntie’s house, a friend who had Sky or a pub to watch a live match. It felt so glamorous when you were only used to four channels! 😆

The Everton game mentioned is the game where Pat Van Den Hauwe became Psycho Pat and that goal at 4.20 is probably the greatest goal ever scored UTFT

Don Revie had a hell of a run on the media with Brian Clough...that QPR board does it still say "South Africa Road End"🤔

He came back to the UK again on a permanent basis in 1984, seeking to land the post of QPR boss, and saying: "I never thought I'd have the chance to get back into the English game but I have discovered I have missed the involvement. I've been away seven years and don't know everything about First Division players. But I'm still able to get on to the training pitch and after 40 years, I feel I have something to offer the game." However, Revie fell out with Rangers chairman Jim Gregory over the package, prompting the QPR supremo to say: "The terms he asked for then were not those he was seeking when I met him. In view of his increased demands, I have unfortunately come to the conclusion that I no longer wish Mr Revie to be the new manager of Queen's Park Rangers."

Gosh TV did really well at QRR. When they reached that FA Cup semi final they were up against Cyrille Regis at his best. When they reached the final they were up against Glenn Hoddle at his best.

Great memories of LBC. It had great coverage of London football in the 80s. Theo Foley was a class act.

watched him bag a couple on his debut at city, what a class player, they really must have been a bad crew if big mal said so, he was no angel himself ! i was gutted when he was elbowed from maine road and sorry to see his demise for a few years but delighted to see his rise to cult hero at qpr. i always anticipated his return to play against us and whenever they were on tv id try to watch. a true maverick and proper boys own stuff.

Ian Gillard leaving QPR (after the 1982 FA Cup final replay) was most certainly the end of an era for the club.
