Let's Get Something Done! This channel is all about applied academics. I love to show how math is used every day in the things I like to do. I own a tree service and teach math and woodshop. I am also a new product designer and have invented a few products to make my life and possibly your life easier. One product I invented and sell are the Sudden Dozen Fun, Fractional Playing Cards. This channel is designed for teachers and students alike and highlights the fun you can have with math and how to apply it. I have a second channel called Jonathan Schwartz, where I go over cutting trees and woodshop projects. There is a web page that has wood projects and the math behind them: sites.google.com/puhsd.k12.ca.us/constructingintegrated3/home Subscribe to my channel, comment on the videos, and be part of this community. You have a lot to add to this channel and we would all like to hear what you think of the content I am posting. Thank you!
My Dream Job is to be enlisted in the Military, I will pass this time! I took the practice test and got a 50, so for the Official Asvab test I will score a 50 too!
Hey man just wanted to ask but not sure. I really want to get into the Air Force and really want to improve my score since its really low, its a 33 and I struggle with the math since it's been awhile since I've done it and I really want to get good at arithmetic reasoning and the math knowledge part. Do you have any advice on where I can start, or do you have any videos of yours that you can recommend that will help me start to learn. I enjoy some of your videos but I was wondering if you have a starting point that explains from ground zero.
I have a playlist foundations of math on ColfaxMath. Start right at the beginning and go through the videos with your notepad and pencil, taking notes and doing problems. Just keep working at it and it will start to come together, keep studying and learning
On the very last question with the movie ticket how did you get the .4 from the .60? Also wanted to say really enjoying the videos and they have been an incredible help so far!
I just took the asvab guys. I did 756 questions in asvab for dummies none of which appeared at the original updated test. however, I would like to say, the best way to pass it is not by memorizing exercises or answers, but to memorize common formulas for complex problems, and to focus mostly on shapes, Arithmetic and math knowledge. for the avid english reader and speaker the rest of the test could with enough logic explain itself. but after passing my first attempt at the exam by 40 which is not the highest score, I can say to everybody who still has the chance, to study formulas. to study shape constructing patterns. to learn mirrored shaped and to know they are always the wrong answer for these shape tests. this guy right here as much as asvab for dummies helped a trapped 7th grade level math guy pass the test successfully and to get a Job at the Airforce National guard. Thank you ColfaxMath. Btw Grammarhero has some better examples although more complicated than Asvab for dummies, they are closer to the reality of the Test. It does still prove useful for noobies like me who suck at math to learn the formulations and to further enhance mathematical knowlege. Colfaxmath may also help, perhaps even more efficiently at this. especially for more Auditively retentive people as you can not only hear his formulations, but also watch him resolve them. Good luck to all. and again. Thank you ColfaxMath. thanks to you now I'm part of something greater. My dream job! to be a Military Man!
I want to learn how to calculate grade for water drainage on a slope. Water is running downhill into our basement. I am excavating in front of our house to prevent water from draining under our house by reversing the slope in front of our house. thank you for helping me with the calculations. it made sense. Does anyone know the slop needed in compacted granite/dirt etc to drain water away from..
@@ColfaxMath But free of any copyright concerns/accidental music piracy? So for instance, maybe you asked the original music creator or perhaps it was made not to be copyrighted in the first place? I try to encourage people not to inadvertently (or advertently) violate G-d's prohibition of theft. Very helpful video. Thank you.
Yoo they need to give you an award ! I’m talking my ASVAB this up coming Friday & the only portions I was concerned about was arithmetic & math ! But watching all your videos & taking notes I’m fully confident I love how you explained it & broke things down. A great refresher for me ❤
The app has prediction test which is very similar to actual test. The app is a very good tool to determine if you are ready to take the test or not. I personally liked it.
Hey Colfax! I gotta say, your videos have worked again! Took my asvab today and got a 69, plus a 112 GT score, if it wasnt thanks to your vids id be in some deep doo doo😂 thank you so much!
I appreciate these , got the bell ringer on lol. I take my AFOQT next week , do you think some of these asvab questions are beneficial to add in to some of my studying ?
Hello👋🏽 future Navy Sailor here, thank you for taking time out to go over & practice these problems w us! having some trouble w #10 ... I was w you up until you multiplied by 3.5, where did that come from ?
