Posts and ramblings of a retired redneck. I will attempt to log interesting stuff that I encounter as I start my retired life. I hunt, Fish and do general handy work. Anything I post here is the red neck way of doing it and not suggested advice or statement of expertise. These just show how I live my way here in Oklahoma. I truly embrace my redneckism and understand my differences are what make us all alike. follow along as I screw stuff up and try to enjoy my retirement.
Such a great idea. I watched several different designs and like this the most - pump sucking in filtered water so it should last longer, output sprays add aeration.
Great video. I to live on the lake on the east side over by Marietta and I’m trying to learn this Striper fishing thing. I usually jugline fish but have built a splasher prop on my channel and want to learn more. Maybe we can get together and do a collaboration video for both channels. I would love to learn a thing more. This video was fun. Thanks and keep running videos.
Good idea on the extension cord Did you do anything special to get the bilge pump to pump for the bait tank I had set up the same thing but couldn’t get it to pump to fill or drain the gray line bait tank maybe air lock? I go to Texhoma once a year and don’t live by a lake to go out and try using it whenever I want
Great video! New to OK I hit Texoma 5-6 times last year, still trying to learn the tricks. Really interested in learning how to use a down rigger, maybe a gear and set up video?
It was fun. Wish my GoPro had a little more battery. It stopped just before the best encounter. Still learning how to film stuff while stalking animals.
Thats a good deal. Them are now good hogs. Them young'ens eat good. We've been killing the chit out of em out here in Binger Oklahoma. I like the shotgun action. I've been having a good time using a 22 mag. Good luck on future hunts!
Decided on the shotgun after the last hunt and we got in to so many up close. I'm not sure I like it as much as my rifle but it is nice in those tight areas and when we have three of us hunting the same river cover. Thanks for the comment.
I’ve always to fish for stripers on that lake. Had really good luck with a guide on Lake Buchanan. That was years ago. Maybe a can email you for advice. Thx.
Enjoying your videos. Looking into getting back into striper fishing and boat ownership again after sitting a lot of years out. What kind of boat do you have rigged up there? Looking for something for room for the family for joy riding but something I can rig up for striper as well. Thanks for the tips.
Great job on the filter. I always prefer the pump below the filter material. I’d through a bag of activated charcoal and phosphate remover in there and it will keep the water crystal clean and the bait alive even longer
Great suggestion. I've never had to use the charcoal filter due to the spray bar helping to reduce the ammonia in the water. I need to try it in both of my tanks and see how it works.
Great video! My dad and I are headed to Texoma for the first time in over a year and hope to find some topwater and slab fish! Glad to see the fish have been biting!
