I am an amateur archive TV archivist and VHS collector. This channel contains some of the things I found when watching old video tapes. I do this in my spare time on a non-profit basis and ask channel viewers to understand that I am not an official archive! No copyright infringement is intended. Please do not send me requests for clips or programmes. If you ask for clips I will politely ask you to read this channel description. All constructive comments are welcomed. Some serious earworms amongst these. Eccentric and addictive. The fuzzy sound and visuals from these old tapes just adds to the appeal. Ron Geesin is a genius.
This wasn't from Sept 89. From the surrounding continuity I would put it at somewhere in May or June of that year apologies I had evidently made a mistake in the description and have corrected it
Omg I’ve been looking for this clip for years !!! 6.06 that’s me! lol, I rang in and they sent me an autographed photo and one of ricks pics! Thanks for uploading !!!
RU-vid PRESENTERS USING MASSIVE OVERSIZED MICROPHONES Study here how the BBC places their microphones, not blocking third of the frame and covering over person speaking.
Since when did BBC1 air CBBC block of kids shows (including Warner Bros.’ Tom & Jerry) at 6:00pm-8:00pm at night? Shouldn’t they be playing EastEnders at this time of hour?
Did central make any basic maths or were they just using stock atv produced episodes I do know 82/84 quite a few had central presents and some had central ident it fluctuated also about 84 central introduced junior maths I remember in early basic maths with central 83/87 black one I do remember more than likely autumn/winter 1984 central presents ATV
As mentioned it was the 1991 Noel's Christmas Presents. It was chosen as it was a Noel Edmonds show and filled the vacant House Party slot well, with a short Tom and Jerry cartoon filling the final gap. This was at hand at BBC 1 presentation, when the bomb alert came to BBC Television Centre around 5pm that night. Noel's House Party was due to air at 6.05pm.
No, I acquired the teletext video recorder in about 1992 and it was a very new innovation even then. You would be lucky to get any teletext from this recording!
@@GoodkingMemorex I think I have an idea as to why you acquired it at the time - Channel 4 had introduced PDC and this video recorder enabled you to use the teletext listings to record a programme which you wouldn't want to miss!!!!
The BBC seemed to be keen on afternoon gameshows in the slot directly following Neighbours as Going For Gold, Turnabout and Four Square were all placed there. Four Square seemed to be early Autumn, Going For Gold late Autumn/Winter and Turnabout in the spring with the summer being sporting events.
These are great. Thanks for uploading these wonderfully lost sounds. You may already be aware but Trunk Records are shortly going to be releasing a Ron Geesin Basic Maths album. Should be ggod!
It seems like a sound effect of crashing at the end. That suggests it was staged (they had the effect ready to play in) unless the effect has been added onto the clip since.
Thanks for sharing this video. My family lived on Foulness in the 1800’s, some helped build the sea wall. How hard their lives must have been in those times!
The Northern Territory is not a state, hence TERRITORY, its in the name ffs. And the rock is Uluru but I guess in 1989 they were yet to give it back its proper name.
Not actually on the film but lived there for 35 years from 1977 with my husband John Cottis who was born on the Island. It's impossible in a film to identify the true essence of the Island and it's unique characteristics unless you have experienced it.
