There was an old expat guy, spamming for that place on any FB-group he could find, always mentioning, that he is not connected to the place. So we finally went there, and OMG, it was such a bad experience about basically everything. Outdated design (perfect for depressing funeral receptions, though), non-existing service and really bad food. That was easily the worst dining experience we ever had in Dumaguete.
Yeah, that people exist. I guess you talk about that weirdo from Mindanao. He just has too much time in his hands. He even makes an excel sheet with time-stamps, when coming over, where to eat at what day and what time. ... Me too, find that spamming very pitiful, but if that gives his life some sense on his old days, let´s be happy for him.
Baby whale shark being fed from guide 5:53 you can see easily the shrimps in the water and the hand of him providing the food. Very sad because this animal now is condemned to die because is not able to look for food by itself. Just for a couple of pictures. Real divers hate this practice. Peace and respect.
That must be about the biggest pile of nonsense I read today. That dive was at Pescador Island, not any whale shark watching side. However, reading that "it will die" simply shows, that you have not the slightest clue about the aquatic world, and absolutely no clue about whale sharks. Maybe you self-educate yourself first before you create a rather pitiful picture of yourself with your gibberish. Real divers would get themselves correct information and also will know that you talk total BS 🙂

I don´t disagree about the food quality. BTW, I am in Dumaguete since 2007 and still didn´t meet or talk to a single of the sevenandahalfthousand infamous expat vlogger here.
Yeah, but that is the local attitude. That smiles only last as long, as one opens the wallet, if one demands the actual service for the paid money, the real faces come out fast. That is not limited the restaurants...
wow, I guess they want no one else to know about it. Seems like you just need to order the starters first and eat it before you order the meal. If the starters are not good then pay and walk out.
We usually do that, we order the starters first, when they arrive, we order the mains, just to get the food in the right order. In that case, we were probably way too naive once again, as the lady was well spoken, and confirmed all, including to serve the appetizers first. If there was anything pleasant during our visit, I would say, the chairs were comfortable and the aircon working. With the rising food options in Dumaguete, basically everything else was sub-standard compared to similar priced places in the city.
Sounds about right. hehehehe. there is no food culture at all in the Philippines. But the ignorance of standards goes way beyond that. There is a reason, why basically 95% of the successful dive Shops and Resorts in the Visayas, have foreign managers, because a "Sorry, Seeeer" for constant f*ck-ups doesn´t do the trick...
yes, it is totally different, when you can adjust the lights. specially when you also take pictures and macro shots. We use them mainly with a TG6, and the GoPro in the hot-shoe of the Tg-Housing You can bring the lights more to the front and can ankle them much better to the object. or bend them in that you get the "face" in a spot and the background remains darker.
I guess it is important to seriously check the qualifications of the person or persons that are in charge of your scuba diving dive, your boat trip, tour, so forth and so on. Drowning or dying because you pick the cheapest guide for your trip isn't something you want on your tombstone.

Philippines in 1990 when I was 25 years old, before mobile phones is still dear to my heart. Btw, I was in Dumaguete in 1992ish before there was even electricity on the entire island of Siquijor and there were no cars nor even pension houses much less hotels in Dumaguete. I had to sleep in an old Spanish house that had been converted to place for tourists to sleep. I reckon you weren’t even born yet, jejeje.
купил его в 2021 году 👎 !это говно 💩 после замены батарейки перестал работать. было всего 5 дайвов в пресной воде. при нажатии кнопки он пищит, при повторном нажатии включается подсветка экрана но наэкране ничего нет потом он сам выключается! и такая проблема у многих людей которые преобрели ,это говнище!) я в их числе!) никогда больше не куплю ничего от этой говённой💩 фирмы!
No Red filter. We never use red filter. It makes absolutely no sense to reduce even more light from an already small camera sensor. With good video lights, you need no filter to start with. A red filter, or complete color-adjustment, can be also added in post production.
