This is still too expensive for me. I buy a gallon of concentrated simple green for $12 so that’s actually $12 for 4 gallons and I put in a spray bottle spray my floor with it and use a sponge mop and just rinse. Rinse sponge sponge mop under running water, ,It’s a lot less work than what this lady is going through and my floors are clean with no residue
For one thing the O Cedar mop & bucket are ancient. I have had mine for years and love them. Sorry you just discovered them, would have saved you money and time. I know what you mean about the floors feeling sticky. Once I tried adding some bleach to the mop water and my bathroom floor tile looked terrible and felt sticky.used to have a cat and dog and moped the floors often I used ammonia in my warm mop water. Now I use distilled vinegar and a splash of fabulous for a fresh scent. However, I do not have hardwood flooring and my house no longer has a heavy traffic flow. Question: why do you sweep and vacuum. I only vacuum as sweeping only kicks up dust and I feel does not serve any purpose for me as my house is already dusty. You are correct in saying that the stiffer is great but, does work out being more expensive in the end. Happy cleaning.😊😊
You could take a small pot, put it on the back of your stove and bring it to boil with water or apple juice and water or cider. Throw a cinnamon stick in a few whole cloves some vanilla and bring it to boil. Then turn it down on simmer house smell wonderful. People wonder what you cooking.

Your floors look beautiful. I have that mop and I love it too! However, since I'm the person who easily injures myself, I use hot water from the tap and rubber gloves 🙂

Your floor looks really nice after that! I use Murphey's Oil soap on hardwoods. It's easy to use. If your floor is sticky after mopping, then you use less. If you have soft water, use less than the recommended amount. When you mop, you don't need to rinse.
Hi Was just wondering if the deodorant worked for the rash you said your husband has ? I've had a rash for awhile nothing is working . Just curious if it worked for him?
It’s hard to tell at this point because the dr also prescribed a Rx cream he is also using. So we couldn’t tell which was helping. I stopped putting the deodorant on it and within two days it got worse. So I started putting it on him again. So it seems to be working.
Oh I love the wreath you made out of the chickies feathers! So cute! I wonder if you could spray it with waterproofing spray so that wouldn’t happen when it rained. Love the new couches. It’s always so nice to get new things for the house. And the Fall decor is adorable!
Those swiffer pads are a rip off, just use hot water and soap usually just a couple drops of dawn or dishwashing soap, it doesn’t take much and it is easy to get the soap off when I use just a coupe drops then clean water on the second mopping.
I would never empty a bucket in the kitchen sink but in the toilet. Not hygienic! Getting a spin mop is a great idea. I would vacuum the floors before washing them.
