BEAUTIFUL ❤️🎵HE PLAYS A "GUARNIERI"VIOLIN 🎻, SOME ARE VALUED AT 10 MILLION DOLLARS 💰😲 HE SURVIVED A FIRE ON HIS FAMILY FARM IN ITALY IN 1999 ,THANK GOD 🙏🏻
Also good to try the way Heifetz or Gitlis hold their bows, then one can hold whole elbow lower (like Kavakos). Then its also more natural and it’s easy to play cords
Another nice thing about using the harmonics is that if you move your finger off of the string but keep the bow moving, the harmonic will continue to sound for half a second, especially if you slow the bow down, giving you a chance to make a big shift without the audience hearing a break in the sound or a slide. I loved learning this trick.
Are those pirazzi strings? I thought they might be Thomastik vision solos/ vision titanium solos because they have this plain green color as well. As far as I remember pirazzis have some black strips with them together with the greens
Oh I'm so sorry to be a nuisance, I have played that part and I wondered what he was doing, intonation and harmony can be so clear and delightful, need I say more. Isaac Stern was so good at that. But this guy has been young and perfect too, once, long ago. ❤
He was talking something about the loudness of frequencies' respond and limited or maximum loudness of frequncies' response. Another issue is about the linearity for the response of the microphone in different frequencies and places.
Clever. I guess a reason not to do it, is you are not good enough to play in tune, cellists have no choice considering the distances on the fingerboard.
