Hey there! This is my family friendly channel, where I upload all types of content from VR to programming. If you'd like to join me on the ride, feel free to subscribe!
just tried this out and love it. maybe it's just me but the volume changes a lot when i edit master volume, usually i run minecraft and set master volume to 20% and because of that the music is genuinely inaudible now, while i still need to turn other sfx down
This is something that recently crossed my mind, it would be awesome to have new types of events such as: - When you enter a structure like a dungeon, villages; and if you could add the weather or biome along with structures for it to be more specific it'd be even better (modded structures and dungeons) - When you enter in a specific radius of distance with a selected mob, could also work by attacking/being attacked by a mob (would also be great if it allows mobs that are intended to be bosses and mini-bosses) - When you start a raid, ominous trial, modded events such as the portals from gateways from eternity mod - Entering a dimension - Using an elytra, modded items like paragliders I saw some suggestions in here and I took inspiration from them to add some of mine.
Might actually try this out, I've wanted to compose video game music and I think this mod will actually make for a more "realistic" environment to see if my songs mesh well in a game environment.
Btw it would be awesome if you could add more events like: -amount of heart/hunger -mobs(in a specific radius) -achievements (if player get any achievement) Also, from what I understood, the mod overwrites the song when a new event meets the requirements so it would be pretty good if there was an option to play more than one song at the same time. (So people can make songs that add in value depending in the amount of events)
Also some games have a "music tempo system" that counts the bpm preventing certain events from happening in the wrong time (disrupting another song in the middle of a note, for example). Using a system like that adds a whole world of possibilities where the musician can ensure to play the right sound at the right time. Ps: I know that this might be a real pain to implement so I'm more like "here is some cool fact about adaptive songs" that "please add this really specific feature so I can compose music in a block game"
to answer your questions, i definately want to keep adding more events the music doesn't get overwritten when a new event happens but this is something that can be configured in your songpack and there's a debug setting to always change to make it easier to test the music tempo stuff sounds cool but it's probably outside the bounds of what I'd be able to achieve haha
This looks so cool! Do you think you'll ever expand the mod to allow more customizeability, such as users creating custom biome groups in a similar style to `MOUNTAIN` or `FOREST`?
It uses biome tags currently so any biomes that have the tags will work (including modded biomes), it's for sure something i'd like to expand more in the future
@@CircuitLord Hey I have a quick question, does this mean we can put biome tags from vanilla and fabric into our song pack? I've been trying to add music to flower forests, but I'm not quite sure how to implement this, when I try to use floral or flower_forest, my songpack will no longer work, thanks! love the mod!
for me the music in game is very quiet. is there a way, like in an options menu or file somewhere, to turn it up past 100%? (my music slider and master volume are at 100%)
This is fixed in v0.2 and higher! Let me know on my discord if you still have any issues ^_^ Also p.s. I've just added custom songpacks support if that's something you have interest in!
This looks like a great mod! Can it use custom music packs or if not, do you plan on looking into it? It's apparently very hard to find a mod that let's you play specific music within a cave and my search has led me here 😅
This is the music mod I've been keeping my eyes open for. The music selection is just right; not too busy or loud, and I particularly like how it does not abruptly cut off when transitioning between dimensions or going from main menu to loading a world
i love this but heres what im wondering; 1. does this react to combat in any way and would you be able to change the music to something of your choice? 2. does it have a feature to have different combat music depending on which biome you're in? e.g. combat in a snowy biome would play heavy winter music or combat in the jungle would have drums.
Sounds Perfect! Is it listed as a beta primarily because you just expect to add more content, or should we expect to potentially encounter bugs/glitches?
i would love to know more in detail how the dynamic system was done. I've had the idea to do a more "minecrafty" style dynamic music mod with my own stuff but my programming knowledge is lackluster.
The mod description answers this question. "Credits: Adventure Redefined is composed of a few different creators, thank you to all of them!
