It's a Great City to live in. I lived and worked in Burlingame for 10 years and loved it. If you need a drone pilot for future videos, feel free to contact me!
Tokies Downtown is a great Japanese restaurant & bar! They transplanted from their Foster City location of over 30 years to downtown San Mateo in 2019. 4th & El Camino. Give'um a try! 😋🤙
Thanks for your comment. Yes, homes are very very expensive in our area. I would argue that more than 70% of the United States cannot afford these prices (the correct number is likely closer to 95%). Nevertheless, most of these homes are still selling for these high prices with multiple offers. The San Francisco Bay Area (and specifically San Mateo county) is a different animal than what most people are used to.
Hey there, I did make tour video's here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TaHnFq03OMU.htmlsi=1aFlwKdy7N9EZmPz ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dKV9JwNWOaw.htmlsi=ayBt_Q9mDCaRchuI
Hey Valeire , really nice video ! I was wondering if I could help you with more Quality Editing in your videos and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail which will help your videos to reach to a wider audience ? Please Lmk what do you think ?
This video is so helpful, thank you!! We are likely moving to the Bay Area soon and Half Moon Bay has been the place we’re most interested in. Do you think a commute from HMB to Menlo Park 3x a week would be realistic? Also, we have young kids. Is HMB an older community or are there young families as well? Thank you so much for the info!
Hi Summer! Thank you for your feedback on the video and for commenting. I really appreciate it. A commute from HMB to Menlo Park is realistic and I know several people who have been doing this exact commute for years. For me personally this commute 3x per week would be a little too much. I estimate it would be somewhere in the 35 - 45 minute range each way every day. Most of the bottleneck will be on 92 (it's a one lane road each way). I recommend messing around with google maps to check the addresses your going to and from at different parts of the day to see what it looks like and see if this commute is a good decision for you. In general Half Moon Bay is a very mixed community with all types of demographics. We know many families there with kids of all ages and especially plenty of young families. Half Moon Bay is essentially no different in the number of young families in the community than any other local community in San Mateo county but I would say the primary difference is obviously people who really prefer living close to the ocean. I hope those answers were helpful. If you have any more questions or want to chat about different parts of the Peninsula you can call or text me at 650.766.5686. I was born and raised in San Mateo and lived here my whole life (except when I left to Sacramento for college) so I'm happy to share the insights of a native/local anytime. Side note: My daughter's name is Autumn, I love a seasonal name :) - Val Mattei
Yay, thank you so much Val, this is such great info! I’m happy to hear that there is a good number of young families there. If things continue and we do end up moving to the area, I’m sure I will reach out to you with more questions. Thank you!! (And Autumn is a great name!)

As usual, the whackadoodles in SF need the extra money to keep buying their crack cocaine.... Thank GOD I sold my home in SF back in 2004, and then got the hell out of California !!!!!
@@cinokinoki2822 have you ever actually been to treasure island? As far as “beautiful” it’s literally been just empty flat land with a few hills and barely any trees. “Historical” this is a man made island built in 1936-1937…
@@risehomes You're mixing up Treasure island and Yerba Buena island. Treasure island is an artificial offshoot of the naturally formed Yerba Buena island
That’s a great question! There are plenty of neighborhoods throughout San Francisco and surrounding cities that are very well kept and beautiful. In fact, the areas which are known for the needles/feces are just a few small sections of San Francisco. If you’re ever open to it I’m happy to show you around! And the reason people buy here and choose to live here forever after moving from other parts of the world is because of great weather, awesome diverse culture, and fantastic career opportunities!
Although some of the original places like Nini’s are gone, there are still some great places to grab breakfast. The Pantry is one of my go to’s for example.
I lived on Arguello and McAllister, Clement was the to go place for Asian food (being Filipino). Very well done video, thanks as I am retired in the Philippines now. Brings back a lot of memories, lived in S.F. since 69 and came back in 2014. My son and daughter live in Union City and San Mateo respectively. God Bless
Agreed with other posters. You’d be an idiot to waive inspection contingency. I don’t care how competitive the market is. There will always be another home. I’m in LA county, I lost 3 bids here, that’s 3 homes lost. 4th home I was the first to get a bid in, and left all contingencies in place. Seller didn’t counter, they just accepted the offer. So now I have the standard 17 days in CA for loan, appraisal, and inspection contingency. This is how it should be. Frankly, the govt should pass a law that makes it illegal to purchase a home as a buyer without an inspection contingency. And before you respond to this, I used to live in Pacifica. I know the Bay Area too. Insane.
