I live in Yorkshire, and I've always called it the north Yorkshire moors, right up until I was purchasing an OS map of a particular area last year and noticed it was titled north York moors 😂😂
@@pullmeifinger I know. Presumably it was named like that to distinguish it from the moors across at the Dales. Given the confusion caused it may as well be renamed, costing 100 gazillion pounds and 30 new jobs to achieve it. They can't do that as the authority want to spend on buying a new a new-build HQ in Helmsley :-)
Just subbed, i noticed the Zpacks mate, i have the 50 and 70 litre Arcs they are incredible for what they weigh and i wouldn't use anything else, whats your thoughts ?
hiya mate, these type of spots look absolutely gorgeous for what me and my buddy were planning to do in the nesr future, is there any way you could give us a hint as to where you are in this video? Cheers :)
Hello ...thankyou for this vid...drawn to it because of the tent.. How ya gettin on with it ? Very little info elsewhere. May i enquire where ya got it from ? Are you goin to keep it or are ya thinking of selling ? I apologize for the many questions....but been looking and comparing tents for months before finding this one. Would you consider doing a full vid on the tent ? That would be most helpfull. Thanks very much. Ww
Thanks for your reply... Just out of interest .. Any comments on the tent... Anyway....hope u enjoy yr backpacking adventures .. Me an misses backpacked the Pembrokeshire coast path....wildcamped. And are planning the LEJOG....next spring....hence the tent enquiry.. Cheers.... Very nice vids...love the clear footage.
Loving the channel guys! We have subscribed in support! We know how hard it can be to produce good content and get your YT off the ground. Going through it ourselves. Keep up the good work!
Thanks yes it was a dream camp, been on my list for years. The shelter was tad expensive but worth every penny, especially when carring it up that high lol. Thanks for watching atb rich
Only 2mins into this one Rich, and so looking forward to it. It's been on my to do list for some time, but unfortunately I'm out of action for a while due to an injury. I've seen so many WHW vlogs, good and bad, but interested in seeing your thoughts on it. Enjoy.
Thanks . Yes live in hull which situates us right in the middle for the peaks, dales and moors. Was especially nice to get a camp on the Wolds which is rare. Atb rich.
@@thewanderer8726 Can I also ask how you’ve found the Jannu one year on compared with the Soulo. Is the extra space worth an additional kg, pack size and several minutes pitching? I have Unna and love the space and big door/window but I’d prefer a tent with pole clips for windy mountains. I’m torn between Jannu and Soulo at the moment but have never seen either in the flesh so your thoughts would be interesting. I’m 6’2” 188cm tall btw.
@Peter Gilbert as you can see from my channel I use many tents. The hilleberg tents are great but overrated in my opinion as there are better tents out there
I've been looking at this tent for a while now but I've noticed you've stopped using it. Is there any reason for that? What would you say the biggest negative for this tent is?
I moved it on a while ago to try other tents. Only negative for me was the toggles on the door which I would of had as buckle clips. Got alot more tents to try out in the future including the ultamid 4. Atb rich
@@thewanderer8726 thanks for getting back to me Rich. One more question. If you were to buy it again would you get the mesh inner again or the solid inner for uk conditions?
@Grizzly Gaz I would always get full mesh as it not a winter shelter and full mesh helps with condensation. Shame I never got to try it in the snow, if I ever find it cheap enough second hand I would def buy it bk I do miss it.
@@thewanderer8726 well I've just found out the guy that you sold it to is selling it for £300. Not sure what you sold it for but it's around £300 new, if it's ever in stock! 🤣
@Grizzly Gaz I think that's what I sold it for 🤔 if I buy new again I hope they do the dcf version they said they would to me or hopefully they'll send it to me free to review lol
The chinook I would but not the revolution. Had the revolution in 30mph winds and wouldn't want try it in more but you never know till try it atb rich.
Linelocs looks like a neat solution for tautening the hat. So far I've only come across people strengthening or shortening the shock cords (which is what I've done also). As someone who has both a Hilleberg and Naturehike do you see a huge performance/quality gap between them in actual use?
Yea they do the job. I don't really see much difference in them except the material used. Obviously hilleberg use tougher and better quality sil nylon and thus makes them perform in stronger winds but I've seen mine hand 40mph was boogeying alot though 🤣 atb rich
Certainly did enjoy that one , really nice although I'm sure it was bloody cold. I wondered where you parked for this one. I always seem to miss oit that spot where you camped as I'm walking along the edge. I'll have to make that small detour to it. Cheers 👍
Glad you you enjoyed it bud. If u head up past the ladybower spot for 15 mins u come to dead end with a small roundabout just park as u exit the roundabout 👍
Thanks for posting. Im thinking of getting ones of these if they ever come back in stock but maybe with a solid inner. Do you still have it? Any further opinions?
Sorry I've moved it on now, been waiting for the dcf version to come out. Seems there not producing much at the minute as most things been out of stock for over a year .
