How do you make the clouds brighter? They all look like smoke.. I want to make them bright white but I cannot get rid of this deep grey/black that is on all of them. Is this possible to fix or do they all have to look grey like this? Even when I change the color to something there are deep black shadows that dont make the clouds look very good. Thank you.
Hi when I enable raytracing in post processing translucency my glass completely disappears but I do have the translucency settings set and ray tracing is enabled.
I followed all the steps in the video and downloaded the file but the material "Sparce Material Volumetric" does not appear when I search for it by name. during this time 0:33
Thanks a ton for dropping all that knowledge in such a short timeframe! Your wisdom and experience are like a treasure trove. Keep sharing-it's making a real impact!
Hi, this is cool Info thanks for the tut! sorry to do this but having trouble with one aspect. Do you know how to extend how far they can be seen from? When I raise the clouds up into my games sky ... like they disappear with distance, cant find any thing details panel to adjust that. I was hopeinbg for a var along the lines of a "Tracing distance" like in the "Layer" section of the Volumentric clouds details panel? .. even looked in engine.ini file.... Thanks in advance.
@@dimitrisyo123 r.HeterogeneousVolumes.MaxTraceDistance I think the default is something like 30000. I adjust mine to 500000 no real lag on my pc with that setting. good luck :) And I would like to find where the setting can be more permanently re-set in an .ini file maybe DefaultEngine.ini, Haven't fount that... yet please share if you do

Just came across a post on the unreal forum, if you search for '5.3 Heterogeneous Volume Rendering tips and tricks' the post talks about creating a custom shader for this specific issue, will look into it further.
Would you be able to use this method to have snow fade in and out at run time? For instance, I have a day and night cycle, and every 5 days I want it to start snowing- could I make it where these parameters would slowly fade from 0 to 1,5,36, aka whatever amount I'd want it to be? That way, it would look as though the snow slowly fades into view over time
