Hi, I am a gamer/nerd. Mostly play old school Street Fighter titles such as Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo and Capcom vs. SNK2. I am looking to keep CVS2 alive in some way by posting more vids regarding CVS2, whether they be tutorials or Gameplay Matches.
This was way easier than I thought. I got it down on both player sides after practicing it for an hour while watching videos/shows. (maybe knowing how to do quick DP's in succession with Zero in UMVC3 helped me a lot? (lighting loops) Also knowing how to wave dash in Tekken helped with the wrist motion?) Then I just practiced doing different combos into the light version of scissor kicks, into custom activation, into paint the fence. I can't do the rolling method for shit, so I just did the standard quick DP input method. You just need to keep your DP inputs as clean as possible and then slowly start speeding them up, the wrist motion will come natural. Just activate the custom, then do 2HK (slide) into 5HP (close s.HP) and then keep trying to get a clean DP input over and over. You can worry about the timing for max hits later, what's important is that the opponent doesn't fall to the ground. The good news is, doing the 4646 + K (super) at the end is the easy part. What's important is that you make the fast DP's feel as natural as possible before you worry about the super part. If the super at the end seems impossible to squeeze in, that means you aren't comfortable enough with the DP's yet. Good luck.
@jjbb2166 if you are talking the jump heavy kick to stand heavy punch > flash kick. That one is actually pretty hard. You have to hold charge as soon as possible. After hitting the jump hk, you need to move the stick to neutral or back and press heavy punch quickly, as you move to up + kick. I suggest practicing just the standing heavy punch to flash kick on its own first. Crouch next to the opponent, and as you are moving up to do the flash kick, you press heavy punch when you get to neutral. The 2 button presses will be very fast in order for the flash kick to come out
So Benimaru is best played in C, A, or N Grooves and is useless in P and K. However, he is totally outclassed in every respect that matters by other characters that do what he does better; C-Groove- Chun-Li, Cammy, Sagat, Blanka, Yamazaki A- Groove- Dictator, Claw, Sakura, Blanka, N-Groove- Chun-Li, Cammy, Morrigan, Nakoruru, Vice, Kyo, Iori He doesn’t mesh well in a lot of teams and overall feels very lacking. For CVS1, he fairs slightly better as he can function in both grooves ok, and is R1: but again Cammy, EX Vice, Blanka, Yuri, Sakura, and Dhalsim are all R1 too that fit well into several team constructions, including with each other, and have better matchups overall. CVS as a series were the weakest Benimaru has ever been by quite a bargain.
